Chapter 790
“Go freshen up. Breakfast is ready. Once you’re done and we’ve eaten, we can head out. You mentioned it’s quite a distance, so we should leave a bit earlier.”
“Give me a kiss.”
“Why should I be the one to kiss you? Can’t you kiss me instead?”
Zachary chuckled and turned her around, leaning down to kiss her red lips.
However, her pale hand covered his lips.
“Kiss me only after you’ve brushed your teeth,” Serenity said, pushing him away and turning to zip up the luggage.
Zachary was left speechless.
He had just been rejected by his wife.
“While you’re at it, don’t forget to shave that scruff so you don’t poke anyone with it.”
Serenity pulled the luggage with her as she exited the room.
Then, she watered the flowers and fed her three pets.
The pets would also need to be taken to her sister’s house for a while.
“I’m coming, Honey.”
After brushing his teeth and shaving, Zachary exited the room and called for his beloved wife, “Hurry and let me kiss you.”
Serenity came out of the kitchen carrying the breakfast she had prepared.
Zachary approached her, and she handed him a plate with two large chicken thighs. He accepted it and quickly pecked her before following her to the table, feeling satisfied.
“Why are there two chicken thighs today?”
Serenity smiled as she took a seat. “Last night, I dreamt someone treated me to a meal, and the food was incredibly delicious. I ate all night until there were two big chicken thighs left, which I didn’t get to eat. I wanted to pack them up to bring home for you, but no matter what I did, I couldn’t grab hold of them.”
“I only realized it was a dream once I
“I woke up, but I still wanted to give you two chicken thighs to eat,” she said. Zachary was at a loss for words. She was a true glutton, even dreaming about food.
“I like chicken wings, so I got myself two. Babe, can you help me find a disposable glove? I don’t want to get my hands dirty while eating with them on.”
Zachary laughed. “As your husband, I’m more than happy to serve you.” He went to fetch her a disposable glove.
“What on earth were you up to last night?” he asked.
“I had a dream for the first time—a nightmare. When I woke up from it and didn’t see you, I knew you had gone out.”
Zachary replied, “What happened in your nightmare? I didn’t do much. Mr. Bucham invited me out for a drink, but I was afraid you’d nag me about it, so I didn’t dare mention it.”
“Did you drink alcohol? I don’t smell any. I dreamt we were having our wedding, but suddenly Elisa appeared and told me you were a big fat liar, that I shouldn’t marry you, and that I should leave you. She claimed you’ve never been true to me and have been lying all along. That shocked me awake.”
Zachary nearly dropped the chicken thigh in his hand but managed to hold on.
“I must have had that nightmare because you lied to me last night,” she continued. “You know what they say—your dreams reflect your thoughts.”
