Married at First Sight Chapter 769

Chapter 769
Serenity asked, “When are we going to your family home? I bought gifts for your family. We can go in the afternoon or tomorrow, so the gifts can stay in the car. Otherwise, we’ll just be moving them back and forth.”
After some consideration, Zachary replied, “Let’s go tomorrow morning. I feel a bit tired since I just got back today, and I think I should rest.”
The couple had been apart for three days, and he missed her dearly.
He wanted to spend some quality time with Serenity before heading to the old residence.
“I’ll leave the gifts in the car then.”
“Alright.”
Zachary had no problem with that but reiterated, “Text me when you reach the neighborhood.”
“Got it.”
Serenity then said, “If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up now. I’m driving.”
Since Serenity was on her way home, Zachary said, “Alright. Drive safely.”
“Sure.” Serenity then ended the call.
“Liberty, Zachary suggested we go to his family home tomorrow. You and Sonny should come along. I don’t think Nana and the others will mind. I’m not comfortable with you spending the holidays alone.”
Liberty replied with a smile, “Why should I feel that way? I’m not a child. I can’t just go to your in-laws’ place.”
“Of course, you can. I married Zachary, so his home is now my home. Isn’t it natural for my sister to spend the holidays at my place? I was always at your home during the holidays and even lived with you.”
“It’s fine. Sonny and I will have a calm and quiet celebration, unlike previous years when I had to prepare gifts for my in-laws. I was criticized for being reckless with money if I gave too much and for being arrogant if I gave too little. No matter what I did, I was told off.”
Seeing that her

Serenity noticed her sister’s determination and said, “If you’re bored, you can visit our aunt or consider Jasmine’s place.”

“Aunt Audrey…” Liberty was about to respond when Mrs. Stone’s call came through. She told her sister, “Speak of the devil.”

Liberty answered the incoming call from Mrs. Stone.

“Is that you, Liberty? It sounds quite noisy there,” Mrs. Stone remarked.

“Yes, I’m out shopping with Serenity. She’s going to Zachary’s family home tomorrow, so she’s picking up gifts for her in-laws.” Since the stores close on Christmas Eve, they needed to finish their shopping ahead of time.

Mrs. Stone paused for a moment before saying, “I wanted to let you know that the family is traveling for the holidays. We won’t be in Wiltspoon, so please don’t come over, or you’ll miss us.”

“Oh, okay.” Liberty inquired, “Where are you going, Aunt Audrey?”

“We’re visiting a few cities and will likely return after New Year’s. Clive plans to come back two days before the office reopens.”

“When are you leaving?”

“In a little while.”

Liberty replied, “Alright, Aunt Audrey. I hope you have a wonderful holiday.”

“Thank you. Where’s Serenity?”
