Married at First Sight Chapter 743

Chapter 743
After sending Olivia away, Serenity told her sister, “If she ever comes back, don’t let her in. Just move a stool, sit by the door, brew some tea, and enjoy some snacks.”
“Think of her rambling as watching a good show.”
As Zachary mentioned, they shouldn’t concern themselves with Olivia unless she intended to take Sonny away. Listening to her complaints was the only way they could learn about how Hank and Jessica were faring.
“I don’t even want to hear her.”
Liberty demonstrated her disinterest through her actions, showing that she truly wanted nothing to do with her former mother-in-law.
No one understood why Olivia felt the need to visit Liberty every few days to vent her frustrations.
Logically, Olivia should have been hesitant to let Liberty know their family was falling apart. Yet, she actively chose to update Liberty about her son and Jessica.
Did she believe Liberty would change her mind?
It was absurd.
“What are you cooking, Serenity? I smell something burning.”
“Oh! My dish!”
Serenity rushed back to the kitchen, only to find that the pot was already burnt.
This was all Olivia’s fault!
Now she had to start over.
After spending the evening at her sister’s house, Serenity returned to her home in Brynfield and awaited Zachary’s return from work.
She followed this routine for several days until the annual dinner at York Corporation arrived.
The dinner was scheduled to start at 7:30 pm, according to the invitation Zachary had brought her.
However, it would actually begin at 7:00 pm.
The extra half-hour was reserved for Zachary’s speech as the company’s head, during which he took great care to conceal his identity to avoid alarming his wife.
At 7:00 pm, Jasmine and her brother arrived at the event.

Brynfield.

“I thought you wouldn’t accept Mr. Bucham’s invitation.”

Serenity opened the door, welcoming her best friend Jasmine and Drake into the house. She playfully teased Jasmine, who was wearing a stunning evening gown similar to hers, paired with stilettos and a delicate purse.

Jasmine laughed, “The offer he made was too enticing. I can resist Mr. Bucham’s charm, but I can’t turn down the allure of money.”

Josh had invited Jasmine to be his plus one, claiming they were somewhat friends after going on a blind date and sharing meals together frequently. He also asked her to pretend to be his girlfriend as a protective shield.

Jasmine initially refused.

However, Josh urged her to consider it as a job, offering to pay her to play the role. Even Jasmine, who was not in need of money, found it difficult to decline Josh’s generous offer and ultimately agreed to be his female companion.

Both women were dressed up in makeup and high heels, making driving difficult. As a result, Drake had to serve as the chauffeur for the two best friends.

Zachary wanted to return to pick Serenity up, but she declined, believing it would be tiring for him to make the trip back and forth.

“If he offered a higher price and proposed marriage, would you accept?”

Jasmine paused before responding, “No way. I want to marry based on mutual feelings, not as a transaction. I’m not brave enough like you to get married on a whim.”

After going on a blind date with Josh, he pursued her several times before his interest waned, and nowadays, he was asking her brother out instead.

Jasmine leaned closer to Serenity and whispered, “Seren, could you do me a favor? Ask your husband if Mr. Bucham is interested in men. I think he’s trying to get with my brother.”

Serenity was taken aback and quickly glanced at Drake.
