Married at First Sight Chapter 679

Chapter 679
Zachary had developed feelings for Serenity first, falling head over heels for her, while Serenity had only taken a small step forward. She could retreat into her shell at any moment.
He fell silent.
Zachary and Serenity often argued, not solely because their relationship lacked strength, but also due to his personality and habits.
It was unlikely that Serenity would change for him; she was not the type to be completely reliant on men. Serenity wouldn’t even share the details of matters she could manage on her own.
As a result, he needed to change for her instead.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? You always keep to yourself when I try to teach you how to pursue your wife and strengthen your relationship with her.” “I don’t know what to say,” Zachary admitted honestly.
Grandma May responded, “Why do I have such a clueless grandson like you? If your brothers and cousins were like you, I’d rather be reunited with your grandpa than worry about all of you.”
Her sons and daughters-in-law were also concerned, but their words seemed to go in one ear and out the other for these boys.
Despite her old age, Grandma May felt compelled to intervene in her grandsons’ lives.
She must have been an unsuccessful matchmaker in a past life, as she struggled with her grandsons’ marriages.
“Nana, I’ll take care of my own matters. Just wait for your great-granddaughter to be born.” “I’ll be long gone by then.” “The great-granddaughter will bring you back to life.”
Grandma May was left speechless.
“I guess you must be feeling better if you can make me angry. I’m hanging up.”
Grandma May had to end the call before the brat caused her a heart attack.

sent her to heaven to reunite with her husband. She tossed the phone onto the coffee table, causing it to slide off and hit the ground. Callum quickly caught it before it fell.

“Where’s your new phone, Nana?” he asked.

“It smashed and broke. You each bought me a phone, and I have at least a dozen, so it can break for all I care,” she replied.

Callum responded, “Nana, did Zack make you angry again?”

Grandma May glared at him. “You boys will be the death of me. Just look at you. You’re no better than Zack. You don’t even have a girlfriend. Why aren’t you out enjoying the holidays? Are you just going to sit around? Do you expect a wife to fall from the sky if you do nothing?”

Callum quickly placed the phone in front of Grandma May and said, “I’ll head out right now and sit in the yard, Nana. I’ll wait for God to drop me a girlfriend from the sky.”

He knew he should leave before his nana got upset with him.

Callum walked away but returned moments later, having forgotten his phone.

The afternoon passed in the blink of an eye.

As winter approached, night fell earlier. By six o’clock, the sky was darkening.

The Stones’ residence was brightly lit.

Since it was a rare occasion for the Stones to host an event, all the guests attended despite the last-minute invitation.

The only exception was the Yorks, who had a rocky relationship with the Stones. In fact, the Stones hadn’t invited the Yorks at all.

This decision was primarily made with Elisa in mind.

Elisa had finally resolved to move on from her feelings for Zachary. The presence of the Yorks could reignite her feelings and her attempts to harass him.

Thus, Mrs. Stone, despite her joy, chose not to invite Old Mrs. York to the gathering.

Standing beside Mrs. Stone were her

Daughter Elisa and her niece Liberty were together, with Liberty holding Sonny’s hand.
