Chapter 646
Liberty was the one who brought them here.
She instructed her son to greet them.
Although Sonny was reluctant to let Audrey hold him, he was willing to say hello. He greeted them in the manner his mother had taught him.
“This child is so cute.”
Alice smiled and asked, “Can I hold him?”
Audrey replied, “Sonny doesn’t even want me to hold him. Do you think he’ll let you hold him?”
Alice reached out cautiously, and unexpectedly, Sonny also extended his arms towards her, wanting her to hold him.
Audrey was taken aback. “Sonny is selective about who he allows to hold him.”
“He’s usually not like this. He was just frightened after the last time. Next time we meet, he’ll want you to hold him, Aunt Audrey.”
Even Liberty was surprised that Sonny was willing to go to Alice.
“Liberty and Serenity, this is Clive, my eldest son. He’s your cousin,”
Audrey introduced her sons to her nieces.
The sisters greeted Clive warmly.
Clive smiled in return but said nothing.
Audrey then gestured to her second son, saying, “This is my younger son, Anthony. He’s two years older than Liberty and three years older than Serenity.”
Liberty and Serenity greeted him as well.
“Ant Swer.”
After letting Alice hold him for a moment, Sonny wanted to return to his aunt’s embrace, prompting Serenity to quickly reach out and hug her nephew.
Clive’s sharp gaze caught sight of the diamond ring on Serenity’s left ring finger. As he looked closer, it struck him as oddly familiar.
Not long ago, he had seen a similar diamond ring on someone else’s hand.
Clive secretly admired the diamond ring on Serenity’s finger for a considerable time.
“Let’s go inside. It’s cold out and the wind is strong today.”
Darrell gathered everyone in the villa and instructed his daughter, “Elisa, please move the car inside.”
Elisa complied, parking her vehicle in the open lot, while Liberty followed in Serenity’s car.
Laughter and conversation filled the air as they entered the beautiful villa.
The maids brought in the gifts that the Hunt sisters had purchased.
Upon seeing the numerous gifts her nieces brought, Audrey remarked, “I’m not a stranger anymore. There’s no need to bring so many items when you visit; I don’t lack anything.”
“They weren’t much, Aunt Audrey,” Serenity replied as she walked beside her with Sonny in her arms. Elisa parked the car and waited for Liberty before catching up with the others.
Once inside the luxurious main building, everyone settled onto the sofa.
“Alice,” Clive said, tugging at his wife’s sleeve. When she turned to him, he whispered, “I need to talk to you. Let’s go upstairs.”
Alice replied softly, “Can it wait until later? Your cousins just arrived.”
“Mom, Dad, and Elisa are with them,” Clive pointed out, recalling the familiar diamond ring worn by Serenity. He hoped Alice would find an opportunity to ask her about it later.
Noticing her husband’s serious demeanor, Alice followed him upstairs when she realized that her in-laws were not paying attention to them.
Once in their room, Clive closed and locked the door to ensure privacy.
Alice looked at him with curiosity, “What’s wrong, Clive? You seem very serious.”
