Married at First Sight Chapter 585

Chapter 585
After ending the call, Zachary instructed Jim, “Ensure the missus is protected while I’m away during this time.”
“Don’t worry, Mr. Zachary. We will take good care of the missus.”
Serenity was adept in self-defense, so protecting her would be a breeze.
Double the bonus!
Jim felt pleased just thinking about it.
This was the advantage of having connections with Serenity!
“If Serenity needs assistance or faces any issues, inform Nana. She’ll handle everything appropriately. You can also reach out to Callum if needed.”
“Rest assured, Mr. Zachary. If the missus encounters any trouble, Old Mrs. York will certainly be informed.”
Grandma May seemed almost all-powerful; her grandsons couldn’t compare to her influence.
Considering his nana’s capabilities, Zachary chose not to say anything further.
To his surprise, he spotted Elisa standing at the entrance of the company for the first time in a while.
She leaned against her red sports car, observing as his team approached slowly.
The driver commented, “Mr. Zachary, Ms. Stone is here again.”
Zachary paused for a moment before instructing the driver, “Stop the car in front of her.”
Both the driver and Jim were taken aback.
Despite Elisa and Serenity becoming good friends, Zachary had never been particularly kind to Elisa. The only one he treated somewhat well was Jasmine, due to her deeper friendship with Serenity.
It was also Jasmine who partnered with Serenity to open a bookstore for profit.
The driver complied with the order.
Elisa was still debating whether to rush out and stop the car, regardless of her safety, when Zachary’s Rolls-Royce came to a halt in front of her.
The car door opened, and Zachary stepped out.
Even after not seeing him for a while, he was

still extraordinarily handsome in her eyes.

For a moment, Elisa appeared smitten, but then she reminded herself not to dwell on her infatuation. After all, he was already someone else’s husband.

“Don’t worry, Mr. York. I’m not here to bother you today,” she said first. Standing tall, Elisa had nowhere to rest her hands, so she leaned against the car, using her arms for support. She looked at Zachary and continued, “Your display of affection has piqued my curiosity, so I shamelessly came here to ask which family your wife belongs to.

“Could you tell me so I can understand how I lost?”

Zachary replied quietly, “I’m sorry, but I prefer not to reveal my wife’s identity just yet. Given the media’s reaction yesterday, you should understand. My wife values a quiet and uneventful life, and I don’t want anyone disturbing her.”

Elisa nodded in agreement. “That’s true. The media can be absurd. They’re almost everywhere.”

Only someone like Zachary could drive the media wild without providing them with any answers.

Elisa genuinely envied Zachary’s wife. That woman must have done something remarkable in her past life to be so cherished by him in this one. Zachary went to great lengths to protect her, allowing her to enjoy the tranquil life she desired while bearing the title of Mrs. York.

Even if the world erupted over the news, she would remain serene as ever.

While the specifics of how Zachary pampered his wife weren’t public knowledge, his efforts to provide her with the life she wanted clearly demonstrated his deep love for her.

“Zachary, may I ask you something? Is she better than me?”

Zachary calmly replied, “In my eyes, she’s better than you.”

Elisa felt a pang of bitterness but managed to smile as she said, “I figured as much. She must indeed be better suited for you.”

You. That’s why you fell in love with her and kept her safe. She’s a fortunate woman, someone others may envy or resent.” Zachary paused for a moment before responding, “Ms. Stone, you’re not bad, but you’re not my type. There will be a good man out there who is better suited for you in the future.”
