Married at First Sight Chapter 569

Chapter 569
Elisa thought she must be imagining things.
Zachary was driving around in a Rolls Royce, accompanied by a convoy of black security vehicles. There was no way he would be here.
No one from his family attended Wiltspoon School.
Elisa decided to set the thought aside.
When she arrived at Serenity’s bookshop, Elisa saw Serenity carrying Sonny out.
“Serenity, how did you know I was here?”
Elisa exited the car and added with a smile, “You even came to greet me with Sonny!”
“Nah, I’m taking Sonny to the supermarket,” Serenity replied.
Elisa stepped closer and reached out to hold Sonny, but he turned away, wrapping his arms around Serenity’s neck. “I want Ant Swer,” he declared.
Serenity explained, “Sonny is improving, but he only wants to be with those he feels close to.”
“The Browns are really something else!” Elisa exclaimed, frustrated that she couldn’t hug the adorable Sonny. She then asked, “Has your sister divorced Hank?”
“They split up yesterday. She got the divided assets and the renovation costs,” Serenity replied.
Serenity carried Sonny back into the shop. With Elisa here, she could postpone the shopping.
“You’re here early. Are the DNA test results in yet?”
Since Elisa was alone without Mrs. Stone, it likely meant the results indicated that Serenity was not related to Mrs. Stone.
“The DNA results aren’t in yet. My mom will pick them up tomorrow afternoon. I’m in a terrible mood, and coming here to chat will help. My mom wanted to come with me, but I told her no. I need to vent.”
Elisa had been deeply in love with Zachary for many years, making it difficult for her to let go of her feelings for him so quickly.
She was suffering and in anguish, but she didn’t want to cry in front of her family.
Elisa didn’t want…

to give her family something to worry about. She felt comfortable confiding in Serenity because Serenity truly understood her.

“What’s wrong?” Serenity asked with concern. “Did something happen? You don’t look well.”

Jasmine greeted Elisa. Meanwhile, Mrs. Lane took Sonny in her arms so that the missus could have a proper conversation with Ms. Stone. After carrying Sonny away, Mrs. Lane discreetly positioned herself behind a large bookshelf and sent a message to Old Mrs. York and Mr. Zachary to inform them of Ms. Stone’s presence at the shop.

Grandma May was not in the shop today; she was busy playing chess with the senior citizens in the neighborhood. Mrs. Lane believed that if Grandma May continued to play for days, she would make a name for herself in Brynfield. The old lady was exceptional at chess, had a vibrant personality, and was the pride of the York family.

Jasmine emerged with a pot of tea. Although Elisa rarely drank tea, she had set aside her role as the heiress of the Stones when she arrived at Serenity’s place. Now, she accepted whatever Serenity and Jasmine chose to drink.
