Married at First Sight Chapter 552

Chapter 552
“Wait, aren’t you the substitute driver?”
Serenity was taken aback when she recognized Jim.
Jim offered a sheepish smile. “I gave your husband my business card and mentioned he could reach out if he needed anything. I’m available for any job, as long as I get paid.”
Serenity figured that business for a substitute driver wasn’t always steady, so taking on part-time work was better than being idle at home. Therefore, she didn’t doubt Jim’s honesty.
“Thank you.”
“No need to thank me. I’m just doing my job for pay.”
After finishing his sentence, Jim quickly carried a sofa outside with a colleague.
Jasmine asked casually, “Do you know him?”
“Yes, I’ve seen him a few times since he lives in Brynfield. He usually works as a substitute driver and has picked up Zachary twice when he got drunk.”
“I didn’t realize he did side jobs. I’ll ask for his business card later. We can hire him for future tasks if needed. He seems quite reliable.”
Grandma May, who was quietly packing up Sonny’s toys, thought to herself, ‘Jim is one of Zack’s bodyguards. Naturally, he’s reliable.’
Many hands make light work.
With everyone’s assistance, all the appliances Liberty had tagged were quickly moved, along with Liberty and Sonny’s luggage.
Ring, ring, ring…
Serenity’s phone rang.
“Zachary, we’re currently moving Liberty’s belongings,” Serenity said, knowing that her husband was concerned even though he couldn’t be there to help. She updated him as soon as she answered the call.
Zachary responded warmly, “I hired a few trucks to come by. They should be arriving at the entrance of the residential area soon. I gave your number to one of the truck drivers, so bring them in later to assist with moving your sister’s things.”

apartment.”
“If it doesn’t fit in her apartment, you can temporarily store the items at our house,” he suggested.
Their small home had enough space since they didn’t possess many belongings.
“Okay, understood. You’re really thorough, Zachary. We organized a group to help with the move, but we didn’t think about hiring a few trucks for transportation,” Serenity admitted.
All the appliances that had been moved out were set up in the open space downstairs for people to see.
Zachary’s lips curved into a smile as he received compliments from his wife. “You all keep going. I’ll head over after work.”
“Okay,” Serenity replied.
Seizing the moment when everyone was distracted, she blew a kiss into the air and softly said, “I’ll send you a flying kiss.”
Zachary, still on the line, chuckled softly and replied, “I want a real kiss when I get home tonight.”
Serenity flashed a cheeky smile before quickly hanging up.
Zachary set down the phone, feeling joyful.
Just then, Josh and Callum knocked on the door and entered. When they noticed the smile still on his face, Josh clicked his tongue and remarked, “You secretly called your wife again, didn’t you? That smile says it all.”
Zachary feigned innocence. “My sister-in-law just divorced. They brought some men over to help her move and take down everything else. It’s quite lively there now. I just called to check on the progress.”
Josh was left speechless.
Zachary was deliberately explaining the situation to him.
He knew Josh loved to gossip and was intentionally sharing this information while forbidding him from joining in on the fun.
“Zachary, you’re becoming more unethical by the day,” Josh accused.
Zachary feigned innocence, asking, “What do you mean?”
Josh was at a loss for words.
Callum laughed. “Josh wants to help your…

“Sister-in-law is tearing down her house,” she said.
“I never said that,” Josh quickly protested.
Zachary hummed thoughtfully. “I was considering that if you genuinely wanted to join the fun, I could let you go disguised as a truck driver to help move her things.”
Josh was rendered speechless once more.
What a terrible friend!
What an unbearable friend!
He must have owed Zachary something from a past life!
