Married at First Sight Chapter 486

Chapter 486
Serenity climbed into bed and settled in comfortably, saying, “I’ve only slept in your bed once, but it feels especially warm. Maybe it’s just my imagination.”
She pulled the quilt up to cover herself and smiled. “Good night, Zachary.”
Zachary’s dark eyes flashed as he stared at her for a long moment before suddenly lifting the quilt off her and preparing to pin her down.
However, she quickly sat up and got out of bed, slipping on her slippers as she left.
“Serenity.”
Zachary reached out to pull her back.
“I, um—I need to use the bathroom.”
Aunt Flo might have come to spoil the moment.
The man didn’t understand. “There’s a bathroom in my room.”
“Your bathroom doesn’t have what I need. I’ll come back to sleep in your bed after I use the bathroom, but I won’t be able to sleep next to you for a while.”
Serenity regretfully pinched his face. “You should gain a little weight.”
No matter how slow Zachary was, he finally understood and slowly released her hand, allowing her to return to her room.
A little while later, Serenity re-entered his room. Zachary had his back to her, hugging a pillow with both arms, seemingly sulking.
Serenity hesitated and thought, ‘Should I sleep in a different room? Maybe I should. I’ll go back and sleep with Nana for the night.’
She turned to leave.
“You’re not even going to let me hold you?”
Huh?
Serenity stopped in her tracks and turned to look at the sulking man.
“I’m afraid you’ll have a tough time if you hold me.”
“It’s better than sleeping alone.”
Since he wasn’t afraid of being tormented, she didn’t hold back.
Serenity then cheerfully returned to Zachary’s side, lifting the quilt and saying, “Come on, don’t give me that look. You look like a sulking kid right now.”
“I’m a man.”
“Fine, a sulking man.”
Zachary suddenly reached out, pinned her down, and leaned in to kiss her fiercely until he felt better.
Embracing his wife, he asked in a low, husky voice, “How many days?”
“Seven plus three.”
“That long?”
“I value my body. If you’re not willing to wait, we’ll continue to sleep in separate rooms.”
It wasn’t appropriate to do anything right after Aunt Flo left.
Her body was her own; she wouldn’t harm it for his pleasure.
Zachary held her tightly. “Don’t make it sound like I’m a beast. Go to sleep; you have to work tomorrow.”
He pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Good night.”
“Good night.”
Serenity adjusted her sleeping position and soon fell asleep peacefully.
Meanwhile, in the Stone family villa.
Audrey sat on the bed, holding an old yellow photo she had treasured for decades. As she looked at her sister in the picture and thought that her sister might no longer be alive, her eyes began to redden again.
A large hand reached out and took the photo from her grasp.
“You’ve been staring at it all day. You refuse to eat or drink, and you’re not even speaking. Are you—”

“Are you trying to worry me to death?” Darrell asked, feeling distressed as he handed a tissue to his wife. “It’s still uncertain, yet you’re already in tears. Perhaps it’s not true this time either.” The DNA test had not been conducted yet, so it remained unclear whether the Hunt sisters were genuinely the daughters of his sister-in-law.
