Married at First Sight Chapter 461

Chapter 461
Serenity and Liberty were unaware that Mr. Brown had unexpectedly sided with Sonny.
After applying an ice pack, the swelling on Sonny’s face had reduced slightly.
He continued to cry and expressed a desire to go home.
Serenity asked the doctor if they could leave, and he confirmed that Sonny could be discharged from the hospital, but they needed to be cautious as Sonny might develop a fever that night.
In the evening, Zachary and his brothers took Liberty and Sonny home.
Concerned about Sonny, Serenity took Zachary to the balcony and asked, “Can I stay with my sister and nephew tonight?”
Zachary was hesitant to part with Serenity, as he was beginning to develop feelings for her and wished to be by her side constantly.
However, he understood that as Sonny’s aunt, Serenity would want to be there for him at this time.
“Zachary?”
Serenity noticed his intense gaze locked onto hers. His lips were set in a firm line, and he was silent. She then asked gently, “Do you not want me to stay? The doctor mentioned that Sonny might have a fever tonight, and I’m worried my sister will be too tired to care for him alone.”
Zachary reached out, his large hand grazing her face.
His touch was tender, reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze, making Serenity want to close her eyes and savor this rare moment of affection.
“You need to take care of yourself while looking after Sonny,” Zachary finally said, his voice deep yet softened with warmth.
“I will.”
“Please inform me if anything happens. I don’t want to be left out.” Zachary remembered how Serenity had bravely faced Noah Hunt and his gang alone; her courage had left a lasting impression on him.

“gangsters, leaving him with no opportunity to be the hero who rescues the damsel in distress.”

Serenity smiled as she glanced around the living room, hugging Zachary’s slim waist when she noticed the York brothers were not watching them. She rested her head against his chest, and Zachary wrapped his arms around her tightly. He enjoyed the sensation of holding her close, and the warmth of her soft body filled him with happiness.

Josh asked Zachary if he was in love with Serenity. Zachary pondered, ‘Perhaps I already am in love with her…’

“Thank you, Zachary.” Serenity said, feeling grateful. He had always been by her side whenever she faced challenges, offering help and comfort. To her, he felt like an invincible superhero.

Many times, Serenity was deeply touched by Zachary’s actions, and this gratitude slowly blossomed into affection. Zachary sighed, reflecting on Josh’s words: ‘Feeling touched is not the same as love.’ Yet, he believed that this was how love began.

“Serenity, as husband and wife, your issues are also mine. Please don’t keep thanking me; it makes me feel like an outsider,” he said.

Serenity nestled deeper into his embrace and replied, “But we signed a six-month agreement. Who knows how long our marriage will last?”

Zachary was left speechless.

“Zachary, can I share something with you?” she asked.

“What is it?” he replied.

“The drawing you discarded… I just remembered that the agreement was on the other side. I didn’t care much about the agreement and left it on my dresser. I used it for sketching my ideas, but then you destroyed it.”

Zachary’s dark eyes glinted with surprise. She recalled that the back of the drawing contained their agreement. But so what? He had already burned both copies to ashes and flushed them away.

“Since you ruined my…

“Will you provide me with a new copy of the agreement, or will you also destroy your copy?” This approach would help her feel less insecure about the situation.
