Married at First Sight Chapter 325

Chapter 325
Since Charles said that, Serenity could only respond, “Drive safely then, Mr. Charles.”
Charles arrived on a pedicab.
He smiled, waved at Serenity, and rode off.
After he left, Serenity called Zachary.
“What’s wrong?” Zachary asked in a low voice.
“Mr. York, are you finishing work soon?”
Zachary fell silent, wondering, ‘Does she miss me?’
However, he quickly dismissed that thought. There was no way she would miss him.
He had been increasingly oversensitive lately.
“Why?”
He refrained from giving her a direct answer, wanting to know why she was asking before responding.
“Um, I hurried out and closed the door, but I forgot to take my keys, so I can’t get back in. If you’re still working late, I’ll take a cab to your office to get the keys. But if you’re leaving soon, I’ll wait at the door.”
Zachary considered this and replied, “I’ll come home now. You don’t need to take a cab.”
“Okay. I’ll wait for you in front of the house.”
He hummed and ended the call.
When Josh heard Zachary, he realized he had to continue negotiating with the client on his boss’s behalf.
Before Zachary could speak, Josh kindly said, “Go ahead. I’ll handle things here.”
Zachary patted his friend’s shoulder and waited for the client to return from the restroom so he could apologize and excuse himself due to an urgent matter. After getting the client’s understanding, he left Wiltspoon Hotel with his team of bodyguards.
Josh thought, ‘If my family sets me up on a blind date in the future, I’ll definitely meet the woman. Maybe we’ll hit it off instantly, and I’ll get married just as quickly as my boss did.’
“Once I have a wife, I can be like my boss. If my wife calls, I can drop everything and rush home to be with her.”
“The world is important, but a wife is the most important of all!”
Serenity didn’t have to wait long for Zachary.
“Did you take them for a walk and forget the keys?” Zachary asked as he pulled out the keys to open the door.
“No, I closed the store early tonight and went shopping. It was inconvenient to bring them along, so I left them with Mr. Charles. I intended to pick them up after shopping, but I forgot. Fortunately, Mr. Charles sent them here to me.”
“I didn’t want to keep him waiting, so I rushed out and closed the door behind me. I forgot the keys and ended up locked out.”
Serenity smiled sheepishly. “This has happened to me before. I only realized I forgot my keys after I had closed the door. Luckily, my sister is usually home, so she lets me in after I knock a few times.”
Now that the couple lived together, she had to wait for Zachary to return from work to let her in.
“I think many people have experienced that,” Zachary said as he helped carry the cat cage into the house.
He reminded Serenity again, “Make sure you’re a responsible pet owner. If I find them making a mess everywhere, you won’t have any pets as long as you’re my wife.”
Serenity looked surprised but quickly reassured him, “Don’t worry, I won’t let them mess up the house. I’ll clean up promptly and keep everything tidy.”
Nana had mentioned to her that Zachary was somewhat of a neat freak.
After settling the pets in, Serenity washed her hands, picked up the bag she had left on the sofa, and handed it to Zachary.
“What is
