Married at First Sight Chapter 1070

Liberty explained the presence of security guards patrolling the street while serving eggs benedict to Elisa.
Serenity failed to notice that the guards were only monitoring half of the street, which included Liberty’s store. The other half was simply observed from a distance, with no actual patrolling taking place there.
Nonetheless, the overall security of the street was enhanced by the presence of the guards.
Serenity’s beautiful eyes sparkled with the belief that Duncan’s actions were motivated by concern for her sister. However, upon seeing Liberty’s apparent disinterest, Serenity felt at a loss for words. It was unclear whether Duncan’s intentions were for her sister or genuinely aimed at ensuring the safety of all his tenants.
Indeed, the store rented by her sister belonged to Duncan.
Duncan passed by daily on his way to and from work, and since he was friends with Zachary, it was natural for him to look after Liberty.
Although Duncan had not explicitly expressed interest in Liberty, Serenity could only observe silently from the sidelines, feeling powerless to intervene.
Elisa cautiously tasted the eggs benedict and found them quite enjoyable, finishing the entire plate.
It was the opening day of Liberty’s store. After breakfast hours, she prepared to close up and invited her family and friends to Wiltspoon Hotel for a meal. With more than a million dollars from Hank, she was generous and agreed readily.
Having lost touch with friends after her marriage, Liberty’s guest list included the Stones, Soxes, and Yorks, along with Josh and Duncan.
The entire Stone family attended, while Jasmine and Drake represented the Sox family. Their parents could not make it due to other commitments but had asked Jasmine to deliver a bottle of wine to Liberty.
The York family typically dined at their own hotel, with the exception of Rowan, who was still in

to cooperate with us, or do we need to make this more difficult?”

Jessica paused at their words, a mix of fear and confusion washing over her. “What do you mean we lost our jobs?” she asked, her voice trembling.

The men exchanged glances before one of them spoke again, “We have our sources. Your husband hasn’t been truthful with you. Now, will you come with us peacefully, or do we need to persuade you?”

Feeling trapped, Jessica took a deep breath. “Look, I really don’t know what this is about, but I can’t just leave. I have responsibilities,” she protested, her heart racing.

“Your responsibilities can wait,” the other man insisted. “It’s in your best interest to come with us.”

As fear gripped her, she considered her options. Could she escape? Would anyone come to her aid? The uncertainty made her feel vulnerable and exposed in front of these strangers.

“Please, just let me go home,” she pleaded, hoping to buy some time.

“Time is not a luxury you have, Ms. Yates,” one of them replied, advancing a step closer. “Now, are you coming with us willingly, or do we need to escalate this?”

With a sinking feeling in her stomach, Jessica realized she had no choice but to comply.

“Are you really going to watch your husband grow closer to his ex-wife every day until they remarry?” Jessica froze. “Who are you people?” How could they know so much about her personal life?
