Married at First Sight Chapter 1030

Chapter 1030
Serenity’s second aunt asked Old Mrs. Hunt, “Do you have the land use permit? You should have transferred the house to your names back then.”
If the house were registered under the elders’ names, even if it was built by Scott and Lisa, it could be seen as an act of filial respect towards the elders.
This arrangement would prevent Serenity and her sister from reclaiming the house.
Old Mrs. Hunt replied, “At that time, your father and I couldn’t find their household registration permit or the land use permit. We weren’t aware of their importance, so we thought it wouldn’t matter that we lacked the permits. We were living in the house, so who would dare to evict us?”
“Those two girls must have taken the household registration and land use permits,” she added.
“Grandmom, Serenity is outside again.”
Noah spotted Zachary emerging with Serenity, and he felt a tightening sensation at the back of his head.
He was apprehensive about his cousin.
“Noah, come here,” Serenity called out.
‘Is she calling me?’
Noah was momentarily taken aback before he hurried over like an eager lapdog. He smiled and asked, “Serenity, what’s going on?”
“Do you know where my parents’ graves were moved?”
Noah was taken aback. He wanted to refuse, but he was quickly intimidated by the glares from Serenity and her husband. He replied honestly, “I do know. They were relocated to the woodland at the base of the mountain in Walford Ridge. The grave without a monument belongs to Aunt Lisa, and the one with a monument is Uncle Scott’s. You’ll easily find them once you get there.”
“Serenity, I’m sharing this with you in confidence, so please don’t mention that I told you. Granddad doesn’t allow us to disclose this information. John usually visits Uncle Scott’s grave alone each year. As the youngest child, I kept insisting that I wanted to join him and eventually managed to…”

“Follow him a few times, which is why I know where they are,” Serenity now understood the location of her parents’ graves. However, she feared that once they left town, these outrageous people might relocate them again. Therefore, she said to Noah, “You must keep this a secret as well. Don’t tell anyone what I asked you.”

She pointed to the building materials on the ground and added, “When I’m not here, you’re responsible for keeping an eye on the piles of sand, gravel, and bricks. If I return and find them missing, I will hold you accountable, and you’ll need to compensate me for them.”

Noah was at a loss for words. He did not want such a burden.

“That’s all. You can go now.”

Noah nodded at Serenity and walked away.

As soon as he left, Old Mrs. Hunt and others surrounded him, eager to know what he and Serenity discussed. Noah candidly shared that Serenity had asked him to watch over the piles of sand, gravel, and bricks. Old Mrs. Hunt was furious and cursed again, though she dared not confront Serenity directly, fearing Zachary.

“Zachary, let’s go buy some flowers in town. We’ll take them to my parents’ graves when we visit later,” Serenity said.

She and Liberty had not been able to visit their parents’ resting place for a long time.

“Alright, but let’s keep this trip under wraps. Since we don’t live here, they’ll likely relocate your parents’ graves as soon as we leave. Given their vindictive nature, I’m sure they’re capable of it.”

Serenity then turned to her sister and the others to share the plan.

After spending some time in the old house, they eventually left and visited Mrs. Deli and the mayor’s houses for a short while before departing in their cars.

Serenity and her entourage were thought to be returning to the city, but they were actually just in town to buy flowers. Along the way, Serenity said to her sister, “Liberty, let’s visit the cemetery to purchase a burial plot for Mom and Dad. We can relocate their graves there. This way, it will be easier for us to pay our respects, and we won’t have to worry about their graves being moved again.” A watchful presence would be kept at the cemetery.
