Married at First Sight Chapter 1025

Chapter 1025
Mrs. Stone stated, “I came here today not to argue with you. I’m simply here to support my nieces and to visit the place where my sister used to live. By the way, it would be easier for everyone if you moved out voluntarily. If you don’t, we will have to sue you for illegally occupying someone else’s property.”
“We will reclaim the house, even if it requires going to court. When that time comes, we will let the court decide how the property will be divided. Do not think for a moment that you can take what belongs to my nieces, just as they will not claim what is not theirs.”
The people from the Hunts’ hometown exchanged glances, realizing that Lisa’s sister had found Serenity and Liberty.
The Hunts were aware that Mrs. Stone was Serenity’s aunt, but they certainly wouldn’t share this information in town.
For the Hunts, it was unfortunate that Lisa’s sister recognized Serenity and her sister. Did John not hold a senior executive position at a subsidiary of Stone Group?
It was rumored that John lost his job after offending the Stones’ cherished daughter, resulting in his dismissal from a company where he earned an annual salary of a million dollars.
Since then, John had struggled to find employment.
Moreover, it was said that John aimed to join York Corporation. He believed he was qualified and thought that having come from Stone Group, he could join York Corporation to compete against Stone Group. What he didn’t realize was that the head of York Corporation was Serenity’s husband.
After hearing the rumors, the townspeople felt it was about time the Hunts faced misfortune and paid for their actions. They had exploited Scott and Lisa’s hardships for far too long.
Now that Lisa’s family was finally present, the Hunts were in for a difficult time.
As long as Lisa’s sister inquired around town, she would learn about how the Hunts used to bully others.

Lisa was together with the family. Old Mr. and Mrs. Hunt had six children: four sons and two daughters. They held a particular dislike for Scott, despite him being the most devoted of them all. Whenever they faced discomfort, he was always the one to take them to the doctor, spending both money and effort on their care.

Lisa, as a daughter-in-law, was also dutiful, but the elderly couple resented her for not giving birth to a son. They treated her with disdain, bullied her, and even pressured Scott to divorce her.

Scott could not bear the thought of divorcing Lisa, nor could he part with his daughters. To him, it made no difference whether his children were boys or girls; he loved them equally.

“Let’s go to court then! Let’s see who’s more afraid!” Old Mrs. Hunt shouted. “My son’s house is mine!”

“Just because you claim to be Lisa’s sister, does that make it true? Did Lisa acknowledge it? Don’t think I’ll be intimidated by your wealth and power. I’m not afraid!”

Old Mrs. Hunt then pointed at Serenity and her sister, scolding them again. “You ungrateful granddaughters are truly trying to drive me to my grave. I’m telling you, as long as I’m alive, don’t even think about building a house on my property!”

“Serenity, you’re so wealthy now, yet you return to fight for the house. You may be rich, but you lack kindness. Your cousins lost their jobs because of your actions, and their businesses have suffered. Yet, you’re still not satisfied and want to take the house away. Can’t you be any less shameless?”

As Old Mrs. Hunt’s anger escalated, she even attempted to strike Serenity. Zachary’s expression darkened, and the Yorks’ bodyguards were poised to intervene. Suddenly, Noah jumped out and rushed to hug his grandmother.

“Grandmom, Grandmom, say whatever you want, but don’t hit them! Please don’t hit them!”

Serenity alone could handle all of them, much to the surprise of those present.

Mr. York was present with his bodyguards. Even if Noah confronted her alongside his cousins, they would not stand a chance against her, let alone his aunt, mother, and the others. The women were adept at arguing and could easily outmatch ordinary people in fights, but they would be courting disaster if they faced someone like Serenity, who had trained in martial arts. Noah, having suffered defeats at Serenity’s hands twice, still felt intimidated by her.

“Grandmom, you have no idea. Serenity is incredibly skilled. I once brought a group of gangsters to trouble her, but she defeated them all without sustaining any injuries,” Noah explained.

Old Mrs. Hunt was left speechless, recalling the incident.
