Chapter 566
As his agent was about to hang up, Rigby spoke. “Wait. Do you have Gustave’s phone
number?”
Lacey was taken aback. “Gustave? The director who’s making a comeback with ‘Heaven’s
Will‘?”
“Yes,” Rigby confirmed.
“You want to audition for ‘Heaven’s Will‘?” Lacey asked in disbelief before trying to talk him down. “I’m not trying to discourage you, Rigby, but you were just rejected by Gale Entertainment. Now you want to audition for their direct competitor? Everyone knows Gale is trying to crush Starlight Media. Do you really think they’ll hire you?”
“Take my advice and quit. This industry isn’t for you. It’s hard for someone from a humble background to make it big anymore. The same goes for entertainment. Without connections, an unknown like you doesn’t stand a chance.”
Then, as if changing her mind, she added, “Whatever. I do have his contact information. I’ll send it to you. You can give it a shot.”
“Starlight Media is going head–to–head with Gale Entertainment. Maybe Ms. Judson will cast you just to play contrarian since you were rejected by Gale Entertainment.”
After hanging up, Rigby received the number from Lacey and dialed it immediately. A
man’s voice answered.
“Hello?”
“Is this Gustave?” Rigby asked, walking over to the window.
“Who is this?” the voice on the other end inquired.
Rigby gripped the windowsill, his voice tense. “My name is Rigby Schwartz. I’d like to audition for the role of the main villain in ‘Heaven’s Will‘.”
The man sounded surprised. “Rigby? Didn’t you audition for the lead in ‘Soaring High‘? Why are you calling me?”
“Gale Entertainment didn’t choose me,” Rigby said, his throat dry.
There was a moment of silence on the other end. Finally, Gustave spoke. “I may have been out of the industry for a few years, but I’ve seen your work. You’re very talented, and I’m a fan. However, you just auditioned for ‘Soaring High‘. Ms. Judson doesn’t tolerate disloyalty. She might not accept you.”
Although Larissa had given Gustave full control over casting, Rigby wasn’t like Wynn, for whose character he could vouch. He would still need to consult Larissa.
But before that, Gustave decided to give him a chance. “Send me your portfolio. Come in

for an audition tomorrow. If I’m impressed, I’ll make a case for you with Ms. Judson.”
“Okay,” Rigby said. “Thank you, Gustave.”
Hanging up, Rigby looked at the unconscious man on the bed. “I promise I’ll earn enough money to find a doctor who can wake you up.”

That evening, as Larissa was tidying her desk to go home, she received a call from Livia. She put her bag down and answered.
“Ms. Judson, I don’t know if this is useful, but I felt I should tell you,” Livia said. “This afternoon, I overheard Lucius on the phone with someone named Trudy. He sounded very excited, as if he’d received some great news.”
The name “Trudy” struck Larissa as strangely familiar, as if she had heard something similar before.
