The Throne of Thorns Novel Chapter 538

Wings of Broken Time by Alina Das 538

Leopold bristled at the insult to his brother, but knowing his future at Gale Entertainment depended on Magnus, he held his tongue.

“You know,” Magnus continued, “it wasn’t until I moved to Gale that I realized just how small Starlight Media really is. I wonder how long a little company like this can last.”

He turned to Larissa, his smile turning into a taunt. “What do you think,

Ms. Judson?”

Larissa let go of her mouse and leaned back in her chair. “It will probably last until after you’re dead. As long as you don’t drop dead in the next few years, Starlight has a longer life expectancy than you.”

Magnus’s face darkened.

“But you’re right,” Larissa continued, ignoring his glare. “Starlight is a bit small. I’m planning to expand. I thought I’d start by acquiring Gale

Entertainment.”

Magnus sneered. “You talk big, Ms. Judson. Your ambition certainly surpasses your brother’s. But it’s nothing more than a pipe dream.”

“Don’t worry,” she replied calmly. “When I do acquire Gale Entertainment, you’ll be the first person I fire.”

Tired of the bickering, Leopold cut in. “Larissa, I’m here to terminate my

contract.”

Larissa raised an eyebrow. “Oh? So Gale Entertainment was willing to play the fool and pay your buyout fee?”

“A fool?” Magnus scoffed. “Just you wait. We’re going to turn Leopold into a superstar, a new cash cow. The money has already been transferred to Starlight’s corporate account. Now, give Leopold his old contract and let’s sign the termination agreement.”

“Ursa,” Larissa said, “have finance confirm the transfer of ten million from Gale Entertainment. If it’s there, print out a termination agreement.”

“Right away,” Ursa replied.

A few minutes later, she returned. “Ms. Judson, the ten million has been received. Here is the termination agreement.”

Larissa pulled Leopold’s contract from a drawer and tossed it onto the desk. “Here’s the original.”

She then nodded at Ursa, who handed the new document to Leopold.

He and Magnus reviewed the agreement. Seeing that it was in order, Leopold looked up at Larissa. She was silent, her face unreadable. With a heavy heart, he picked up a pen and signed his name.

Magnus took the signed agreement and produced a new contract. “Sign this, and you’ll officially be a Gale Entertainment artist.”

Leopold had already reviewed the terms in the car. Without hesitation, he signed the new contract.

Magnus gathered the documents and stood up, his voice dripping with triumph. “Thank you, Ms. Judson, for gifting us such a promising artist.”

“You’re welcome,” Larissa replied smoothly. “And thank you for paying ten million to take out my trash.”
