Chapter 322
Seeing Finley ignore him, Garrick bellowed a final warning, “Fine, Finley! Just you wait! I’ll make you regret this!”
Finley paid no attention to the threats echoing behind him. Limping, he quickly guided the woman into an elevator. He only let out a breath of relief once the doors slid shut.
He had just made a powerful enemy.
The woman, Leila, looked at him with gratitude. “Sir, thank you… Why would you risk angering Garrick to save me?”
Finley turned to her. “It wasn’t me… It was…” He hesitated for a moment. “My sister wanted me to save you.”
The words “my sister” felt foreign on his tongue, the first time he had used them to refer to Larissa. It sounded awkward.
“Your sister?” Leila’s eyes widened in recognition. “You mean the young lady who openly defied Garrick at the auction?”
Finley nodded. “Yes, that’s her.”
A grateful smile touched Leila’s lips. “I see. I didn’t think she would actually come for me… I mean, I know she probably did it just to annoy Garrick…”
“You’re wrong,” Finley said. “She genuinely wanted to save you.”
Leila stared, her pupils dilating in surprise.
Seeing her disbelief, Finley added, “She said you were beautiful and wanted to sign you as an artist for our entertainment company.”
“Oh, I see,” Leila said, her voice sincere. “Please, sir, thank your sister for me. Without her, Garrick would have ruined my life.”
Finley was silent for a moment. “You should tell her that yourself. I’m not really in a position to. She might not appreciate it coming from me.”
Noticing the sorrow in his expression, Leila asked, “What’s wrong? Did you two have a fight?”
Finley gave a bitter smile. “Yes. A big one. The kind she might never forgive me for. It was my fault.”
Hearing this, Leila offered, “I don’t know your sister, but any woman who would stand up to a man like Garrick and then go out of her way to save me is a hero in my book. She’s someone to be admired. If you truly did something that she can never forgive, then you should spend the rest of your life trying to make it up to her. Not to earn her forgiveness, but to clear your own conscience.”
Her words sank in, and Finley fell into deep thought. Larissa had said she wouldn’t kill his family, that it would be more interesting to watch them lose everything and live in misery. So, she wouldn’t actually let him die from the poison.
Perhaps Leila was right. Perhaps he should spend his life earning back Larissa’s forgiveness.

Chapter 322
Back in the car, Finley’s assistant took a call. “Mr. Judson,” he said afterward, “that designer handbag you ordered from overseas has arrived at the office.”
“Your sister will be so happy when she receives your gift,” Leila said immediately.
Finley paused. The bag was originally for Honora. But did it still make sense to give such an expensive gift to her?
Perhaps… perhaps giving it to his real sister, Larissa, would be more meaningful now.
“Yes,” Finley said, “I hope it makes her happy.”
He told his assistant to swing by Starlight Media to pick up the bag before taking Leila back to the
Judson estate.
Back at the Judson estate, in front of the East Villa, Larissa found Finley waiting for her when she returned home from treating Haskell. Standing beside him was the beautiful young woman he had rescued.
Seeing Larissa approach, Finley clutched the luxury shopping bag in his hand, his voice laced with anxiety. “Lari, I saved her. Are you… are you willing to talk to me now?”
