Married at First Sight Chapter 1060

Chapter 1060
“Sure,” Remy replied.
Elisa inquired, “Mr. Johnson, your family also resides in a manor, correct?”
Remy nodded and said, “Ms. Stone, please call me Remy. We’ll soon be neighbors, so there’s no need to act like strangers. A close neighbor is better than a distant relative.”
“Alright, but you shouldn’t call me Ms. Stone either. As you mentioned, neighbors shouldn’t act like strangers. Just call me Elisa.”
Remy smiled and added, “Our family’s old home is also a manor, much like Mr. York’s family residence. We call ours FC Manor.”
He gazed at the scenery around them and remarked to Elisa, “It seems that Old Mrs. York and my grandmother share similar tastes and preferences. They come from the same era and have the same aesthetic standards. FC Manor and Wildridge Manor are quite alike.”
If he had to point out a difference, it would be that FC Manor is slightly larger. Elisa also observed her surroundings, thinking, I used to dream of living here. It’s peaceful and away from the city’s hustle and bustle. The environment is excellent, and the space is so vast that I wouldn’t feel bored even if I stayed home for a month.”
What mattered most was that this was Zachary’s home.
She had once loved Zachary deeply and aspired to become the lady of Wildridge Manor.
Remy gently said, “If the opportunity arises in the future, you should visit FC Manor and stay for a few days.” Elisa gathered her wandering thoughts and responded, “Annenburg has many tourist attractions, so I often travel there. Didn’t your family build a resort? I enjoy staying there whenever I visit.”
It was just that she had not met Remy back then.
“Let me know when you visit Annenburg again. I’ll do my best as a host and cover all your expenses. I can also be your guide for free.”

“You take us to all the scenic spots and introduce us to all the delicious food,” Elisa said casually. She quickly added, “I’ll invite Serenity and Jasmine too. They’re serious foodies, and having them along will definitely enhance our appetite.”

“Sounds good,” Remy agreed with everything Elisa suggested.

This response made Elisa feel that he truly came from a large family; he exhibited good self-control and a gentle demeanor. As for her brother’s comments about Remy being ruthless in business, she was not concerned at all. After all, she wasn’t engaging in any business dealings with Remy, so why should she care about his ruthlessness in that arena?

She understood that a soft-hearted person wouldn’t thrive in the business world, where the weak often become prey for the strong. Did her brother not also possess a ruthless side?

Elisa simply believed that she and Remy could get along well, and being neighbors was an important factor in maintaining good relationships.

As the duo walked and chatted cheerfully, Serenity observed them from behind and remarked softly to the man beside her, “It seems they’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow.”

Zachary chuckled and replied, “Do you see yourself as Cupid? Connecting two people in love?”

Serenity laughed quietly. “I’d love to be Cupid and help lovers find their way to each other. I remember reading a story as a child. While I don’t recall all the details, a few parts have stuck with me.

“In the story, Cupid was offended by the male protagonist, who had his advances rejected by the female protagonist. In a cruel twist, Cupid shot the man with an arrow of love and passion, while striking the woman with an arrow of disgust for him. In the end, the man became madly infatuated with a woman who loathed him with every fiber of her being.”
