Married at First Sight Chapter 1002

Chapter 1002
Mrs. Newman was engaged in conversation with a group of ladies nearby. She was aware of her two daughters’ actions but chose to remain still, continuing her calm discussion with the others.
After a prolonged silence, Camryn turned to her sister and asked, “You’ll pay for the flowers after I drink this?”
“There are plenty of witnesses around. As long as you drink the wine, I’ll give you a grand,” her sister replied.
“Fine,” Camryn said.
She lifted the glass to her lips, just about to take a sip, when suddenly, a hand reached out and snatched the glass away.
“Don’t drink it,” a voice warned.
Camryn, confused, turned to identify the source of the unfamiliar voice.
The person who had taken her glass was Serenity.
While others watched the unfolding scene, Serenity could not stand idly by; she knew that Carrie had spiked the wine and harbored ill intentions. She couldn’t predict what would happen to Camryn if she consumed it.
If Serenity hadn’t known that Camryn was the candidate chosen by Grandma May for Callum, she might have stayed out of it. However, aware of this connection, she felt compelled to intervene and protect Camryn.
“This doesn’t concern you, Ms. Hunt,” Carrie said, her expression darkening at the sight of Serenity. She refused to refer to Serenity as Mrs. York, as it made her feel inferior to someone she considered a country bumpkin.
“I saw Ms. Carrie drug this glass of wine earlier,” a voice chimed in, and it was not Serenity but Elisa.
Elisa, unsure why Serenity was intervening, decided to join in, unconcerned about Carrie’s status.
She directly unveiled Carrie’s scheme.
“Ms. Stone, you can put anything you want into your mouth, but you should be more aware of what comes out of it. Which of your eyes saw me drugging the wine?”
Elisa raised her chin and replied haughtily, “I have two eyes. I saw it with both of them.”
“You—”
Elisa seized the glass from Serenity’s hand and returned it to Carrie. “This is your wine, Ms. Carrie. You should drink it yourself.”
“Ms. Stone, this is between me and her. I suggest you and Ms. Hunt stay out of it.”
Carrie, spoiled by her family, was quite stubborn and unafraid of Elisa. She leaned close to Elisa’s ear and whispered, “Ms. Stone, others might fear you, but I do not.”
Then, she straightened up and handed the wine glass back to Camryn. With a provocative glance at Elisa and Serenity, she said, “You can’t leave unless you drink this wine. Even if someone helps you leave now, I can still make you drink it later, so do it now!”
Camryn bit her lower lip.
She believed Elisa. Her sister must have drugged the wine.
Forcing her to drink it was a calculated attempt to embarrass her in front of everyone.
She had already tried to diminish her presence in the Newman family, but Carrie continued to target her.
Even though they shared the same mother, Carrie not only failed to treat her like a sister, but she had consistently tried to create trouble for her.
“I said, drink it!”
Carrie was exceedingly arrogant.
