Married at First Sight Chapter 972

Chapter 972
“Clive likely made a deal on the house.”
Since the estates were adjacent, it made sense for Clive to purchase the neighboring property and remove the fence between them to create a larger area for the Stones. This would increase the square footage of their land.
The Stones had the financial resources anyway. Who could outbid Clive if he wanted the property?
“I can help you inquire about it now if you’re interested. Just a moment.”
Feeling guilty for waking his best friend, Duncan thought of a way to make it up to him.
That’s when the Zimmers’ villa came to mind.
Using another phone, Duncan reached out to his source and quickly received a response: the Zimmers’ villa was not on the market.
Duncan had assumed the buyer was Clive, but his source was unaware of who had purchased the house, and it wasn’t Clive. Clive was one step behind in acquiring the Zimmers’ villa to expand his family’s land, as someone else had already bought it.
While the Zimmers’ property was pre-owned, it offered ample space, making it highly sought after. The buyer would likely undertake a significant renovation of the structure, as Duncan had mentioned.
The Zimmers held many memories in that house, but it was time for new owners to create fresh experiences.
Out with the old, in with the new.
Since money was no object, the new resident would spare no expense in turning their dream home into reality.
Duncan responded, “See? The desirable estate is in high demand. Someone snatched it up before Clive.”
“Who bought it?”
That was quick.
“No idea, but we’ll find out soon.”
Zachary wasn’t concerned; he owned numerous properties. For him, location was everything in real estate.
He was focused on long-term investment, so…

He examined the neighborhood, the location, the size, and the age of the property. Zachary preferred to acquire the property in its current condition. “Well, I’ll let you enjoy your break, Zachary,” Duncan said. With nothing more to discuss, he quickly ended the call. Zachary shouted at the disconnected line, “Weirdo.” Duncan entered, cradling his wife as she slept. “Zachary.” Serenity emerged from the private resting room. “You’re awake, honey. Did the phone call disturb you?” Zachary quickly got up and walked over to Serenity, wrapping his arms around her waist and guiding her to the sofa where they sat down together. “No, I woke up on my own. Who were you talking to?” Serenity was merely trying to make conversation, so it didn’t matter to her if Zachary chose to answer or not. “Duncan called to discuss some trivial matters that aren’t worth mentioning. I don’t know what’s gotten into him; it was a strange call,” Zachary replied, sharing the details of his conversation with Duncan. He had promised there would be no more lies and vowed to be honest with Serenity, as long as it didn’t involve trade secrets.
