Chapter 962
“Seren, why didn’t you let me know you were coming? I would have gone downstairs to meet you.”
Zachary took the insulated lunch boxes from his wife, concerned she might be tired from carrying them. He turned and placed the two boxes on his desk before taking her hand and leading her to the sofa.
His intense gaze was fixed on her.
Callum thought to himself, ‘If he could pop out his eyeballs and attach them to Serenity, he would do it without a second thought.’
“This isn’t the first time I’ve visited your office. You don’t need to pick me up. I brought you food, so eat it while it’s hot. Eating on time each day will help your stomach recover.”
Zachary smiled. “Thank you, honey.”
Serenity couldn’t help but pinch his cheerful face and smile back. “Is the company giving out bonuses today? Everyone I saw was in such a good mood.”
Callum laughed and added, “Serenity, having you here is more rewarding than any bonus.”
Zachary glanced at his brother.
‘Didn’t you notice my wife brought me lunch? Why are you still standing there like a statue? Move!’
“Callum, bring the lunch over. I brought plenty of food, so there’s enough for both of you.”
Callum quickly grabbed the lunch boxes from the desk and placed them on the coffee table. He sat down and was about to open the boxes when he noticed Zachary’s intense stare.
Callum froze.
The smile had faded from Zachary’s face, and his dark eyes glared at his brother as if throwing daggers.
Callum felt a shiver run down his spine from the glare.
“I–I’ll just open the boxes for you to see what Serenity prepared, Zachary.”
Despite being glared at, he opened the boxes as if nothing were amiss.

Upon seeing the food, he complimented Serenity on her excellent cooking skills, as the dishes emitted a mouthwatering aroma.
“It smells wonderful.”
Callum carefully unpacked each layer of the lunch boxes and arranged them on the coffee table. Alongside the food, there was also soup.
“I have plans for lunch, so I won’t compete with Zachary for the food. Serenity, enjoy your conversation. I’ll take my leave now.”
With that, Callum stood up and exited.
Zachary’s tense expression finally relaxed once Callum left sensibly.
Serenity did not push for Callum to stay and eat with them after he mentioned his lunch plans.
As Callum opened the door and stepped outside, Zachary’s smile returned.
Just as the smile appeared, the office door swung open again, and Callum re-entered.
“What are you doing back here?” Zachary snapped at him.
“I forgot to grab the photo. I’m heading to the hotel now, so I’ll bring it to Kevin while I’m there.”
Grandma May was proceeding in chronological order. Callum, being her second grandson and just one year younger than Zachary, would turn thirty this year, while Kevin was a year younger than him. Both were at the age where marriage was expected.
Previously, Zachary had been the primary target of Grandma May’s matchmaking efforts. Now that he was married, it was only natural for her to shift her focus to Callum and Kevin.
Callum walked back to the desk and picked up the photos he had brought to show Zachary. However, Zachary didn’t even look at them.
“Let me see the photos.”
Zachary had previously shown no interest because the pictures featured women Grandma May had selected for Callum and Kevin. He hadn’t looked at them then, nor was he interested now.
The only woman
He was interested in his Seren.
