Married at First Sight Chapter 960

Chapter 960
“No, I’ll only assist you and Kevin in finding a candidate for now. There’s no rush for the others.”
Callum tried to involve his younger brothers in the discussion. “Only Rowan is still a minor. Alex just turned twenty this year, and the others are of legal marriageable age. You can’t be biased, Nana. Let them all marry. The more granddaughters-in-law you have, the higher the chance of a great-granddaughter.”
Grandma May replied, “I’m counting on Seren to give me a great-granddaughter. The fortune-teller said Seren’s firstborn will be a girl.”
Callum asked, “Since when did you become so superstitious?”
“Since your big brother actually fell in love with Serenity. Fortune-telling is an ancient practice. It’s worth believing in a little.”
After she finished speaking, she stood up. “I won’t disturb your work any longer. I’ll head to Liberty’s shop for a visit. I’ve missed Sonny after not seeing him for so long. Liberty’s breakfast diner will be opening soon, right?”
Callum replied, “I didn’t hear Serenity mention it.”
“Serenity and Zack have been arguing for a while. It’s probably best not to hear from her.”
Callum felt confused. It was only after his grandmother left and he thought it over that he grasped her meaning.
Zachary was quite domineering. If he learned something before Zachary did, Zachary might retaliate. He was also jealous of other women, let alone them.
Serenity arrived shortly after Grandma May left.
She brought Zachary’s lunch in advance to ensure he wouldn’t forget to eat again amidst his busy schedule.
When her car stopped at the gate of York Corporation, the security guard on duty was thrilled to see her.
He immediately…

She opened the gate, drove in, and called the front desk. When the call was answered, the security guard announced, “The CEO’s wife has arrived.”

The CEO had made life difficult for the entire company due to his wife. Now that she was suddenly present, everyone anticipated an end to their bitter days. Although the security department hadn’t suffered directly under the CEO’s reign, they understood that everyone was hoping his wife would arrive like a refreshing spring breeze, sweeping away the cold winter air. Spring—no, summer—would finally be upon them, even if it was still chilly outside.

After the receptionist learned of the CEO’s wife’s arrival, she quickly contacted Mr. Chaplin via intercom, saying, “Mr. Chaplin, the boss’s wife is here. She just arrived at the building.”

Mr. Chaplin beamed with delight. “Are you certain it’s her?”

“Yes,” replied the receptionist, who then noticed Serenity walking toward the lobby with two insulated lunch boxes in hand.

She smiled, stating, “I saw her. She’s carrying two lunch boxes—she must have brought lunch for the boss.”

“We won’t have to work overtime until midnight anymore,” Mr. Chaplin sighed with relief. “Thank God.” He then happily ended the call.

Serenity sensed that everyone was smiling at her, displaying a warmth that felt new. She thought, ‘So this is how the CEO’s wife is treated.’
