Married at First Sight Chapter 944

Chapter 944
“You shouldn’t feel too much pressure about it. Excessive stress can affect you as well. Just let nature take its course. If you still haven’t become pregnant after two or three years, then it’s wise to get checked to determine the cause.”
Some couples have been unable to conceive for several years, yet medical examinations revealed no issues. Interestingly, after they divorced and married other people, they were able to have children.
“Perhaps it was just bad timing each month.”
Serenity could only speculate.
Liberty wanted to explain that it wasn’t necessarily safe during the supposed safe period.
She felt it simply wasn’t the right time for them to have children, which made it difficult for Serenity to conceive.
There was definitely nothing wrong with Zachary’s health. Her sister appeared to be healthy as well. Having raised her sister, Liberty was well acquainted with her health status. If there were any signs of trouble, she would have taken her sister to the doctor immediately.
Moreover, it hadn’t been long since the couple officially became husband and wife, so it was perfectly normal for Serenity not to be pregnant yet.
Ding dong…
The doorbell rang.
“Who is it?” Liberty called out.
Nowadays, she hesitated to open the door, wary that it might be Jessica, her ex-husband, or their associates.
Especially after learning that Hank and Jessica had lost their jobs, Liberty suspected her ex-husband might come by to create a scene, blaming her for their misfortunes.
“Liberty, it’s me.”
Zachary’s voice came through the door.
“Zachary.”
Liberty

She glanced at her sister and, seeing no sign of surprise on her face, got up to open the door. Zachary stood outside, holding a bag in one hand. Inside the bag were two tins of milk powder specifically meant for pregnant women. Along with the milk powder, there were also calcium tablets and folic acid tablets—all intended for expectant mothers.

“Liberty, I’m here to see Seren,” Zachary said, his eyes curving into crescent moons as he couldn’t help but smile. Liberty took a quick look at the items he had bought and, noticing he was about to step inside, said softly, “Zachary, it’s a bit early for you to be buying these things.”

Zachary stared at his sister-in-law, stunned. The bodyguards had mentioned that Serenity entered the drugstore earlier to purchase a few pregnancy tests. Could it be that she wasn’t pregnant? Or was it possible that the tests had failed to detect her pregnancy?

“Serenity isn’t pregnant. She bought a few pregnancy tests, but her period started when we got back,” Liberty explained. Zachary was at a loss for words. He had gotten ahead of himself, feeling overly joyful at the thought of becoming a father. Unable to contain his excitement, he had rushed to a maternity goods shop to buy milk powder, calcium, and folic acid tablets for pregnant women.

Now, it turned out that Serenity was not pregnant. What should he do with the milk powder and folic acid tablets he had purchased? Should he keep them for when she eventually did become pregnant?

Disappointment washed over Zachary. He genuinely wanted to have a child with Serenity. Liberty noticed her brother-in-law’s dejected expression and whispered a comforting remark, “It’s okay. You both are still young and haven’t been together long. There’s no need to rush into having a baby.”

Zachary paused for a moment before saying, “I’m alright, Liberty. Seren and I are still young, after all. There’s no hurry.” However, internally he wondered when they would have another opportunity to try for a baby, especially since his wife was not pregnant and was currently staying with her sister. It seemed unlikely that he would become a father this year. He could only hope for the following year. Besides, they hadn’t even had their wedding yet, so there was truly no urgency to start a family. With that thought, Zachary felt much better.
