Married at First Sight Chapter 863

Chapter 863
“Ms. Yates, if you don’t believe me, go home and question your husband. Why are you here interrogating my sister instead? You need to understand this: it was your husband who approached my sister, not the other way around.”
Serenity couldn’t help but add, “If you’re that insecure, maybe you should cut off your husband’s legs to ensure he only stays by your side in the future.”
“Move out, Liberty. Get far away from here and keep it from my mother-in-law. That way, Hank won’t come looking for you.” Jessica dismissed Serenity’s sarcasm, her focus on her own jealousy towards Serenity.
Jessica was younger and prettier, yet it was Serenity who had married Mr. York.
Serenity’s life seemed almost too good to be true.
What did Mr. York see in her?
It wasn’t only Jessica who thought this way; many wondered what it was about Serenity that captured Mr. York’s heart and made her his favorite.
Before Liberty could respond, Serenity grew angry and exclaimed, “Why should my sister move out? If anyone should leave, it should be you. Aren’t you worried that Hank might come looking for my sister? In that case, you’d better move far away from Wiltspoon so he won’t return.”
“I’ll return your words to you, Yates. If you can’t control your man, don’t blame outside temptations. This is what homewreckers like you would say.”
“Hurry up and leave. I want to splash water on you to wake you up when I see you.”
Serenity slammed the door shut and said to her sister, “Thank goodness you divorced Hank. Otherwise, your blood pressure might have skyrocketed from anger.”
“It’s not worth getting angry at her. The more upset we are, the more she’ll show up, and she’ll actually believe that I—”

Liberty still had feelings for Hank and would frequently visit to flaunt her sense of superiority as the winner. However, she now felt entirely calm when interacting with people like Jessica. “I was in a bad mood, but then she came over and allowed me to scold her. Now, I feel much better. I’m hungry and want an extra serving,” she said.

Liberty chuckled in response. “Then eat more.”

The sisters settled back at the table to continue their meal. Just then, Serenity’s cell phone rang; it was a video call from Zachary. Although she hesitated to answer, she ultimately decided to accept the call.

Once connected, she remained silent, merely raising her bowl to indicate she was eating.

“Have you eaten, Seren?” Zachary asked.

Serenity said nothing but lifted her bowl higher.

Zachary noticed and continued, “Why can’t I see you, Seren? Is your phone broken? I can send you a new one tomorrow.”

In silence, Serenity turned the camera to show Sonny, who was enthusiastically eating with gravy smeared on his lips.

“Uncle Zack!” Sonny exclaimed, waving happily at the camera. “I’m eating now. Aunt Seren’s cooking is really yummy.”

Zachary felt a pang of envy. ‘There’s no lie in that, little guy. Sadly, I can’t enjoy it now. You’re so lucky.’ Despite the bitterness, he smiled and said, “Can you share a little with Uncle Zack?”

“Uncle Zack can’t eat it,” Sonny replied matter-of-factly.

“Why not?”

“Because Uncle Zack is inside the phone now,” Sonny answered, his expression serious.

Zachary burst into laughter, and even Serenity couldn’t help but smile. The little one was quite articulate.

“Sonny, can you let Uncle Zack see your Aunt Seren?” he asked, trying to shift the focus.

Serenity was left speechless; he was definitely using Sonny to his advantage.

However, Sonny gazed at Serenity in confusion and said to Zachary, “Aunt Seren is right there.”
He pointed at Serenity.
He could see his aunt. Why couldn’t Uncle Zack see her?
For a moment, Zachary was unsure how to explain it to a three-year-old.
