Elisa smiled as she wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. After looking away and gazing into the distance for a moment, she turned back to Zachary with a serious expression. “Zachary, hearing your words has made everything worthwhile. My feelings for you over the years were not in vain.”
She extended her hand graciously towards Zachary, who mirrored her gesture, and they shook hands.
“Zachary, I wish you and your wife a long and happy life together.”
“Thank you, Ms. Stone,” he replied.
“I hope to have the honor of attending your wedding in the future.”
Zachary withdrew his hand and said warmly, “Once my wife and I set a date for the wedding, I’ll be sure to send an invitation to you and Mr. Stone.”
“I’ll be looking forward to your invitation, then.”
Elisa smiled. “You must be quite busy. I won’t take up any more of your precious time. Goodbye, Zachary.”
She waved before heading back to her sports car and quickly drove away from York Corporation.

“Once my wounds have healed, I’ll start anew.”
Zachary returned to the car, and the driver resumed their journey promptly.
The driver had expected the two to argue again, not for Elisa to offer her blessings.
Elisa poured her heart into both love and hate, yet she was also capable of moving on.

At least she didn’t continue to pester Zachary.
Elisa had intended to find Serenity, but she changed her mind on the way there.

“I just want to get the results sooner and find out if Serenity is really my niece,” Audrey replied.
Her husband held her down on the sofa, but she couldn’t sit still for even a moment.
Alice remained at home as well. Clive had asked her to accompany Audrey to the center for the results.
Alice encouraged her mother-in-law, saying, “Mom, they told you to get the results at noon. It’s too early now. There’s no need to rush. Elisa also expressed her desire to join us for the test results, but she’s not back yet.”
Only then did Audrey realize that her beloved daughter was not at home.
She asked her daughter-in-law, “Alice, where did Elisa go? I haven’t seen her since I woke up.”

Audrey paused before saying, “Has she not given up?”
“She has, Mom. She went to say goodbye to Mr. York,” Alice replied.
Audrey sighed. “I hope she can truly move on from him.”
Her daughter had been in love with Zachary for several years.
Alice reassured her, “She will move on, Mom. She has her pride too. Now that Mr. York has announced his marriage, Elisa will definitely let go of her feelings for him.”
