Married at First Sight Chapter 525

Chapter 525
Noticing Serenity’s concern for him, Zachary spoke in a gentle tone, “I have a dinner party tonight, so I won’t be home early. You don’t need to wait for me. Get to bed early, but please sleep in my room.”
His handsome face flushed slightly as he said the last part.
This was because he recalled that he had previously told her his room was off-limits and had prohibited her from entering.
Now, he was asking her to do just that.
Serenity smiled. “Of course. I’ll leave the door unlocked for you. Hurry up and go inside; don’t linger out here in the cold.”
Zachary turned around reluctantly and entered the building. Serenity watched his attractive figure retreat before she drove away. Once inside the office building, Zachary spotted Josh standing there, grinning at him.
Zachary was at a loss for words.
This gossiper!
He shot Josh a sidelong glance and continued straight ahead.
Josh ignored Zachary’s look and followed him. After entering the elevator, he teased, “Zachary, you look like you want to be a piece of gum just so you can stick by your wife’s side 24/7.”
Zachary shot him an annoyed glance. “A bachelor can never understand how sweet and happy I feel right now.”
Josh was left speechless. “Ms. Sox has a cold and isn’t feeling well. You should go see her if you have the time.”
“I want to, but her mom is with her. We haven’t reached the stage of meeting each other’s parents yet, so I won’t go. However, if she’s at the store, I’ll visit her.” Motivated by his best friend’s happiness, Josh decided to pursue Jasmine, the first girl who had captured his interest.
Jasmine’s willingness to go out of her way for others endeared her to him. “Zachary, could you help me ask your wife if Ms. Sox has returned to…

“Are you going to the store?” Josh was a man of action; once he had an idea, he acted on it. While he couldn’t visit her at home, he could go to her store. Zachary, however, ignored him.

Josh nudged Zachary and said, “Hey, you were the one who set us up. Why aren’t you supporting me when I’m trying to make a move?”

Zachary shot him a glare and replied grumpily, “My wife just drove away. She’s probably still on the road. If I call her now, it’ll distract her while she’s driving, and that’s too dangerous.”

Josh opened his mouth to argue but couldn’t find a counterpoint.

The elevator reached the top floor, and when the doors opened, Zachary strode out with Josh hurrying to keep up. “Don’t you have anything else to do?”

Zachary replied, “He follows me around every day for gossip. I have time for a quick break. I’ll return to work for you once you help me make that call.”

Zachary couldn’t help but grin. “You make it sound like I’m a slave driver.”

The two entered the office together, and of course, Josh wouldn’t sit idly by. They began discussing work again. “By the way, you asked me to terminate the business relationship with Lowe Enterprise, right? Mr. Lowe himself called me earlier.”

Lowe Enterprise had reacted quickly. Most importantly, York Corporation was the one that ended the engagement. In Wiltspoon, any company that partnered with York Corporation was quite influential, making it a mutually beneficial deal.

However, the abrupt termination of business dealings by York Corporation had alarmed Mr. Lowe, even if it was merely their subsidiary companies involved. He felt uncomfortable calling Zachary directly, so he reached out to Josh instead.
