Married at First Sight Chapter 387

Chapter 387
Liberty’s mind went blank for a moment.
She didn’t expect Jessica to answer Hank’s phone.
Liberty then pulled the phone away from her ear to record the call.
Zachary’s friend had helped Liberty investigate and gather evidence of Hank’s infidelity. However, the evidence only indicated that Hank was emotionally cheating on her, as he had not slept with Jessica.
At that moment, the cheating couple was likely together, prompting Liberty to prioritize recording the call.
“Who are you?”
Jessica smirked at Liberty’s silence, clearly pleased with her reaction.
After discovering Hank’s betrayal, Liberty had caused a significant scene. This annoyed Hank to the point where he wanted a divorce, disregarding their son’s custody.
If Liberty hadn’t cried or made a fuss, Hank and his family would assume she was eager for a divorce and would try to keep her around instead.
“I’m Hank’s secretary, Jessica Yates. Who are you?” Jessica asked with feigned innocence. “Who am I? I’m his wife! Where is Hank? Where are you, and what are you doing?! Get Hank to answer the phone!”
Liberty’s voice rose in volume, reflecting her anger.
Jessica reveled in Liberty’s fury.
She did not hang up and continued, “I told you, Hank is in the shower, so he won’t be out for a while. Didn’t Hank mention that he has business entertainment tonight? As his secretary, I need to accompany him.”
“We had some drinks, so we can’t drive. Hank booked us a hotel room so we could sober up before heading home. I didn’t expect you to call in the middle of the night to check on him,” Jessica added, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“There are plenty of chauffeurs available, so why didn’t you call one to—”

“Send him back?! Why did you two insist on staying in a hotel? Are you both doing something behind my back? Are you?!” Liberty shouted into the phone, her voice trembling with anger.

On the other end, Jessica remained calm, a smile playing on her lips.

“Jessica Yates, are you with my husband? What have you two done?!” Liberty roared.

“Hank is drunk, so I need to take care of him. Staying in the same room is more convenient. We haven’t done anything, Mrs. Brown. Don’t overthink it. I’m just looking after Hank on your behalf, so you should be thanking me, not yelling at me.” Liberty felt a wave of disgust wash over her as Jessica referred to her as Mrs. Brown.

It was true; mistresses often had a thick skin.

She reminded herself to endure and listen to the nonsense Jessica was spewing.

“I don’t need you to look after my husband. Give me the hotel’s address right now, and I’ll pick him up.”

Jessica responded gently, “Mrs. Brown, you still have to care for your son. It’s already midnight. If you come to pick up Hank, who will watch over your child? Don’t worry, I’m here to ensure Hank is taken care of. It’s late, so you should get some rest.”

With that, Jessica hung up the phone, guessing that Liberty would be furious at home. Once the call ended, Liberty checked her recording to confirm it had been saved.

She cursed Hank after saving the recording.

Beep.

Liberty received a new message on WhatsApp.

She opened it to find it was from Hank. Or rather, it was sent by Jessica using Hank’s phone. It contained the location of the hotel.

The hotel included a message typed by Jessica. (This is the address. Are you free to come over?) Liberty was furious upon reading it. Jessica could no longer contain herself and wanted to confront her openly.
