Serenity asked, “Liberty, how are things going?”
The Hunt sisters walked toward Zachary’s car as they chatted.
Liberty smiled. “Did you forget what I used to do? Work is pretty easy. I was a bit rusty at first, but I quickly found my rhythm.” However, Liberty still struggled to connect with her colleagues. This may have been due to the stir she caused on the day of her interview. Everyone was aware of her connection to Mr. Lewis, so they were superficially nice to her, but behind her back, they gossiped about her alleged relationship with the CEO. The looks Liberty received from the female staff were hard to describe.
Liberty accidentally overheard her colleagues discussing her while she was in the bathroom.
Nevertheless, it was only her first day of work, and things would likely improve over time.
“Zachary.”
Liberty greeted her brother-in-law as she entered the car.
Zachary nodded, his gaze shifting to Serenity. Having experienced similar situations, Liberty instantly recognized the depth of her brother-in-law’s look. After she settled into the back seat, she closed the car door without waiting for Serenity to join her.
Serenity didn’t think much of it and, feeling too lazy to walk around to the other side, simply opened the door and took a seat in the passenger seat.
“Liberty, let’s grab dinner first, and then we’ll take you and Sonny home afterward.”
“Okay.”
Liberty was in a much better mood now that she had a job.
The Hunt sisters chatted animatedly during the drive to the restaurant.
Zachary concentrated on driving while also listening to their conversation.
Since Zachary was treating his wife and sister-in-law to dinner, he chose not to skimp and took them to Wiltspoon Hotel.
As soon as the hotel manager spotted Zachary without his bodyguards, he recalled Callum’s advice. He quickly stepped aside and turned his back to Zachary, fearing that he might instinctively greet Mr. York and jeopardize his job because of it.
“Zachary, you could have taken us to a regular restaurant. We don’t need to dine in such an extravagant place,” Liberty remarked, feeling somewhat concerned for her brother-in-law’s finances.
Since she wasn’t an outsider, they could skip the formalities. She wouldn’t mind even if they ended up eating at a food truck.
Zachary led the sisters upstairs and into a private room. “Liberty, our company owns this hotel, so we receive employee discounts when we dine here. It’s not too expensive after the discount,” he explained.
Liberty smiled and replied, “That’s great.”
Thanks to her sister and brother-in-law, Liberty had the opportunity to dine in the most exclusive hotel in Wiltspoon.
Zachary picked up the menu and handed it to Liberty so she could order whatever she desired.
After all, Liberty was his sister-in-law.
Liberty quickly scanned the menu but then closed it, passing it to her sister. “Seren, you choose,” she said.
Serenity took the menu and flipped through it as well. She found the prices to be exorbitant. Had Zachary not brought them here, Serenity and Liberty would never have considered dining at Wiltspoon Hotel.
Of course, the food at Wiltspoon Hotel was delicious. Serenity remembered the night she accompanied Jasmine to a dinner party here and sampled all the dishes.
Serenity and Jasmine had indulged themselves to the point where they could barely walk out, needing to hold onto the wall for support. Zachary’s keen eyes noticed that the Hunt sisters hesitated to order due to the high prices. He understood their hesitation. After Liberty finished…

“I’ll order then,” he said.
Zachary took the menu from his wife and effortlessly ordered several dishes. Once the waiter noted their order and departed, Zachary turned to his wife and said, “I just received a bonus today.”
His comment was meant to suggest to Serenity and Liberty that they could indulge a little without worrying about his finances.
