The Amazing Son In Law (The Charismatic Charlie Wade) Chapter 336

As Kenneth spoke, his voice was thick with emotion. “Since the brothers have been apart for so many decades, perhaps they will finally have the chance to meet again in heaven,” he said thoughtfully.

Christopher nodded in agreement and added humbly, “Chairman Wilson, why don’t you come inside and take a seat?”

Kenneth chuckled and replied, “Alright, then. I apologize for intruding!”

“Not at all! You’re not a bother!” Christopher insisted, quickly leading Kenneth through the courtyard and into the living room. He then introduced his mother to him with great enthusiasm. “Mom! This is Kenneth Wilson, the chairman of the Modestway Group!”

Lady Wilson was taken aback.

Modestway Group?!

That was an incredibly renowned publicly listed company!

What could possibly bring the chairman of Modestway Group to their home?

Despite her confusion, she rose to greet him, her excitement palpable. “Oh! Welcome to our home, Chairman Wilson. Please forgive this old lady for not giving you a proper welcome!”

“No, no, please don’t worry about it,” Kenneth replied with a warm smile as he extended his hands in greeting. Just then, he noticed Wendy, who had been quietly crying for a long time. Her eyes were red from her tears, and Kenneth couldn’t help but think how beautiful she looked despite her sorrowful expression. His heart raced a little at the sight.

Wendy was so lost in her own despair that she didn’t notice the new guest in her home observing her with an unsettling intensity.

Lady Wilson quickly ushered Kenneth into the living room, saying, “I never expected Chairman Wilson to visit us! It’s truly an honor to have you as our guest!”

“You’re too kind,” Kenneth said with a smile. “If I’m not mistaken, you must be the head of the Wilson family, correct?”

“Yes, that’s right. You can just call me Lady Wilson. No need for such formality,” she replied hastily.

Kenneth nodded and explained, “I’m here today to fulfill my father’s last wish before he passed away.”

He then recounted the history shared between his father and the elder Wilson family member from long ago.

The Wilson family’s ancestral home was located in a small mountain village where nearly everyone shared the Wilson surname. This family had a deep-rooted lineage that had thrived for hundreds of years. With so many descendants, the family tree had grown vast, spanning generations that sometimes didn’t even recognize one another as true blood relatives anymore.

In their youth, Kenneth’s father and Christopher’s father were distantly related, having several generations between them. Nevertheless, they considered each other as distant cousins.

When the Resistance War broke out, chaos ensued, and the Wilson family scattered, each fleeing for their lives. Thankfully, Kenneth’s father survived that fateful day.

After the war, the family was unable to reconnect, and they lost all means of finding one another.

On his deathbed, Kenneth’s father urged him to seek out and express gratitude to his benefactor, a wish that Kenneth didn’t take seriously at the time. Though he promised to help, he ultimately forgot about his father’s plea.

It wasn’t until a few days ago, when nightmares of his father’s disappointed face plagued him, that Kenneth remembered his promise. Consulting a fortune teller revealed that his father’s last wish was so powerful that it would continue to haunt him if left unfulfilled.

This prompted Kenneth to invest some resources into searching for the Wilson family, which eventually led him to Aurous Hill.

Upon hearing this, Lady Wilson was filled with joy.

This was indeed a glimmer of hope in a time of darkness!

The Modestway Group was a public corporation valued at tens of billions of dollars. With a mere snap of his fingers, Kenneth could help the Wilson family and potentially lift them from their struggles!
