You Chose Her, so I Married Better Chapter 24

Chapter 24

Regina knew that this still wasn’t enough. If she wanted to secure her place, she needed to make sure Zachary had no feelings

left for Genevieve.

She bit her lip and spoke softly. “Zach, there’s something I don’t know if I should say.”

“What is it? You know there’s nothing you can’t tell me,” Zachary said patiently.

“I was worried something might happen to you, so after you left, I went to the Lambert residence too. I… I think I saw Genevieve and Tristan. They…”

She trailed off, as if she couldn’t bring herself to finish her thought.

“Tristan?” Zachary’s brows furrowed. He had never liked Tristan.

“Yes.” Regina carefully continued, “After Genevieve came out of Raymond’s room, Tristan was waiting outside for her. They spoke alone for quite a while, standing very close. I just thought the way she looked at him didn’t seem right. Zach, don’t be angry. Maybe… Maybe I saw it wrong.”

The more she insisted that she might be wrong, the more it sounded like she wasn’t.

Zachary’s expression darkened completely.

Genevieve and Tristan?

She had only just brought up divorce, and she was already messing around with another man right under his nose?

“And it’s not just that.” Regina reached into her handbag, took out her phone, and brought up a photo. “I took this by accident. Don’t misunderstand. I just thought the two of them standing together looked strange.”

The background was the entrance to the Lambert residence.

In the photo, Tristan leaned against his car, his head slightly lowered as if he were saying something to Genevieve.

Genevieve tilted her face up. Her expression wasn’t visible, but the angle and the carefully adjusted lighting made them look far too close-intimate in a way that was hard to ignore.

It looked like they might kiss in the next second.

Zachary’s pupils constricted sharply.

He couldn’t believe that the woman he could throw away whenever he pleased had the nerve to cheat on him behind his back.

Zachary took the phone, sent the photo to himself, then forwarded it straight to Genevieve.

He messaged, “Genevieve, you’d better explain this to me!”

The message stayed stuck on one gray tick.

It seemed that Genevieve had blocked him again after sending her message.

Zachary felt the blood rush to his head. He swayed, barely keeping his footing.

After shaking off Zachary’s subordinate, Genevieve drove straight back to Blossom Studio.

The moment she stepped inside, Hannah rushed up, grabbed her arm, and looked her over from head to toe.

“You’re finally back! That bastard Zachary didn’t hurt you, did he?” Hannah asked, her worry completely undisguised.

“I’m fine,” Genevieve said evenly. “Where is it?”

Seeing that Genevieve looked just fine, Hannah finally let out a breath of relief and pulled her over to the workbench before opening an encrypted file.

“Look,” Hannah said. “This luxury apartment in the West End was transferred into Regina’s name three months ago. It was paid in full, and the money came from one of Zachary’s hidden overseas accounts.

“And here are multiple large transfers labeled ‘living expenses’. Add them up, and it’s nearly eight figures.”

On the screen, the scans of the property deed and bank statements were perfectly clear. They were the most solid proof of Zachary’s cheating.

Genevieve skimmed the numbers, her gaze darkening. “Good. Keep digging. I want every last dirty secret of his to be dragged into the light.”

“Don’t worry,” Hannah said. “I’ll make sure he walks away from this marriage with nothing!”
