This remark drew snickers from everyone in the room.<\/p>\n

Jacob could only manage a forced laugh in response to his relatives\u2019 mockery.<\/p>\n

In contrast, Christopher chuckled and said, \u201cMom, regardless of what kind of person Charlie is or how he came by the villa, Mr. White has personally confirmed that he gifted it to Charlie. So there\u2019s really no need for Jacob to explain further.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jacob felt a wave of gratitude towards his brother for standing up for him, a rare occurrence given Christopher\u2019s typical indifference.<\/p>\n

Continuing with a smile, Christopher addressed Lady Wilson, \u201cMom, there\u2019s no need to press Jacob for details. Mr. White\u2019s clarification assures us that Charlie received the villa as a gift.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright,\u201d Lady Wilson conceded, then turned her attention to Jacob. \u201cJacob, your older brother is planning to propose a match between Harold and Loreen from the Thomas family. What are your thoughts on this?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat sounds great,\u201d Jacob replied, a smile on his face. \u201cThe Thomas family is well-respected and renowned in the capital. If Harold can marry Loreen, it would certainly benefit the Wilson family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Upon hearing this, Jacob quickly offered, \u201cMom, if you need money, I have about a million dollars I can give you.\u201d<\/p>\n
