Turning his gaze to Douglas, who was fuming, Lawson pleaded, \u201cDouglas, I was blinded by my greed. I promise I\u2019ll repay the ten thousand dollars! Please, tell Mr. Wade to spare me! My old body can\u2019t take this anymore\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie glanced at Douglas. \u201cAre you going to assist him?\u201d<\/p>\n

Douglas shook his head vehemently. \u201cNo! I won\u2019t help anyone here!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright!\u201d Charlie nodded in satisfaction. \u201cThat\u2019s my man!\u201d<\/p>\n

He faced Lawson, who was drowning in despair. \u201cNot only are you a terrible father, but you also tried to steal my brother\u2019s life savings. What separates you from a common thief?\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawson sobbed, stumbling over his words. \u201cMr. Wade, I\u2019m a monster! I\u2019m inhumane! I deserve to go to hell! Please let me go, I\u2019m begging you! I\u2019ll do anything! I\u2019ll call you Boss! Boss Wade, please spare me!\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie let out a chilling laugh. \u201cLet you go? Hah! In your dreams, you ugly bastard!\u201d<\/p>\n

With that, he turned to Bill. \u201cCripple his right arm! Let\u2019s see if he can still steal from others after this!\u201d<\/p>\n

In desperation, Lawson shouted, \u201cNo, Mr. Wade! Please, don\u2019t\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Bill swung his arm down with force, smashing Lawson\u2019s arm.<\/p>\n

\u201cAh, my arm\u2026 my arm!!!\u201d Lawson cried out.<\/p>\n

Charlie instructed Bill, \u201cShut him up and discard him!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, sir!\u201d Bill stuffed a ball of gauze into Lawson\u2019s mouth and tossed him toward Zaz.<\/p>\n

Lily was on the brink of insanity, as was Jerome.<\/p>\n

Dylan Hunt, Lawson\u2019s father, was losing his mind as well. He turned to Jerome and slapped him angrily. \u201cYou idiot! Who told you to mess around with someone else\u2019s woman? Why did you drag me into this?\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie smirked. \u201cWhy? Didn\u2019t you realize your son was involved with my brother\u2019s fianc\u00e9e? Aren\u2019t you supposed to be his father?\u201d<\/p>\n

Fearful for his life, Dylan\u2019s eyes brimmed with tears, utterly lost on how to respond. Lawson\u2019s fate was a glaring example of what awaited him.<\/p>\n

If he admitted he knew, his right leg would be shattered; if he claimed ignorance, his left leg would be crippled\u2026<\/p>\n
