Clinton could barely contain his excitement when he heard the terms of their wager.<\/p>\n

He was driving the powerful 540 model, while Charlie was in the less impressive 520. There was no way the loser could come out on top, no matter how hard he tried.<\/p>\n

Clinton was taken aback by Charlie\u2019s boldness in making such a daring bet!<\/p>\n

With the fireworks planned for the loser, Charlie\u2019s car would be utterly destroyed\u2014the interior, seats, and dashboard would be obliterated in an instant.<\/p>\n

Charlie was digging his own grave, and Clinton felt it was time to give him an extra shove!<\/p>\n

Without a moment\u2019s hesitation, Clinton proclaimed, \u201cHey everyone, you\u2019ll be our witnesses! We\u2019re going to race to see whose car is faster. The loser will have to place fireworks inside his car and light them!\u201d<\/p>\n

He then added with a fierce tone, \u201cAnyone who dares to break this bet will face severe consequences!\u201d<\/p>\n

The onlookers along the roadside erupted into cheers. Classmates who were inside the nearby restaurant rushed out, drawn by the commotion, and soon a crowd of twenty to thirty people gathered, eager to watch the race unfold.<\/p>\n

Many in the crowd couldn\u2019t believe Charlie\u2019s audacity. How could he challenge Clinton\u2019s 540 with his 520? This was a straight race, where skill wouldn\u2019t matter; it was all about the power and performance of the cars.<\/p>\n

Even if a racing legend like Schumacher were driving the 520, there was no way he could outpace the 540!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Charlie, his brand new BMW 520 was about to face a devastating fate!<\/p>\n

Claire tried to intervene, \u201cCharlie, he\u2019s just trying to provoke you. Don\u2019t let him get to you; we shouldn\u2019t race.\u201d<\/p>\n

With a reassuring smile, Charlie replied, \u201cDon\u2019t worry, my dear, your husband is destined to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clinton burst into laughter. \u201cWow, Charlie, I admire your confidence! Let\u2019s cut the chatter and get this race started!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAlright,\u201d Charlie agreed. \u201cWhat\u2019s our starting plan?\u201d<\/p>\n

Clinton pointed to the intersection at the end of the road and said smugly, \u201cWe\u2019ll start together and race to the end of the road, then turn around. The first one to cross the line wins. Sound good?\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie smiled, exuding confidence. \u201cNo problem!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFantastic!\u201d Clinton shouted with enthusiasm, \u201cEveryone, be our witnesses! Let the race begin!\u201d<\/p>\n

He climbed into his BMW 540 and positioned it on the road.<\/p>\n

Despite Claire\u2019s concerns, Charlie hopped into his car, aligning it next to Clinton\u2019s.<\/p>\n

One enthusiastic guy stepped forward, grinning, \u201cI\u2019ll do the countdown!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s do it!\u201d Clinton shouted, \u201cWe\u2019re ready whenever you are!\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie nodded and switched his BMW 760 into sport mode.<\/p>\n

The 760 boasted a 6.6-liter engine with a powerful 585 horsepower.<\/p>\n

In contrast, the 540 had a mere 3.0-liter engine with only 340 horsepower.<\/p>\n

When compared, the displacement of the 540 was half that of the 760, and there was a staggering 245 horsepower difference between the two! They were worlds apart in performance!<\/p>\n

However, Clinton remained blissfully unaware that Charlie\u2019s 520 was actually a top-spec 760. The naive and overconfident Clinton believed he was assured of victory.<\/p>\n

With excitement, the countdown began, \u201cReady! 3, 2, 1, go!\u201d<\/p>\n

As soon as the countdown finished, Clinton slammed down on the accelerator!<\/p>\n

He was convinced Charlie was destined to lose, and he aimed to humiliate him even further by creating a significant lead!<\/p>\n

But to his shock, a black blur shot past him on his right side, leaving him in its dust in the blink of an eye!<\/p>\n

It was Charlie\u2019s BMW 520! Clinton could hardly believe his eyes! How could this be happening? It was impossible!<\/p>\n
