I’m just glad that I got home before my mom got here. I don’t know what I was going to say, coming back home with my face full of tears.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

That man literally called me a wh*re. That’s where I draw the line. I’m done chasing after him. I’m literally leaving him alone. I have to pull myself together. The pots won’t start themselves.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I placed my bag in my room and started with the pots, I made rice and a tin-fish mixed with baked beans… My favorite. I called Nothando.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : sweety<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : are you home?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothcozando : duhh, where else would I be?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I miss you<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : I miss you too. it’s been a while since we chatted, unless it’s about school. How about a sleep over? Will your mom agree?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I think so,I’ll call her because she’s still not here.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : okay get back to me ke.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : okay…(door opens)oh she’s here. I’ll call you back.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : and then? Did you miss me?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I did but it’s not that. How are you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : I’m okay hunny what about you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I’m okay. Can I go sleep over at Nothando’s house?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : OH, I thought we’d bond tonight, it’s been a while.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I know but we have to, study. We have exams to study for having her as my studying partner really helps.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : Okay, you can go.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : are you sure?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Saronah : I am sure. I don’t want to stop you from focusing on your studies. It’s a good thing. Nothando is a good girl, I know she wouldn’t take you to clubs so yeah. You can go.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : thank you. Let me. Go pack my overnight bag.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah :are you okay though?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I am, why?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Saronah : you were crying.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : I wasn’t, I was watching some videos on Facebook, I laughed until tears came out.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I smiled.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : okay. You can go. Should I take you there?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi :there’s no need Ma. It’s right next door.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saronah : okay, you better get going before it gets too late.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I took my phone from the kitchen counter and sent Nothando a text. I made my way to my room and packed a bag and made my way out.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando’s gate is not locked, so I made my way inside. I knocked once and the door is opened almost immediately.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : you’re here. Let me take these.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She said taking the bags from me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : I’ve already told my mother about this sleepover. She’s preparing for work and I hate being all alone, that’s whshe agreed. Let’s go to my room.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We made our way to her room. She already has setted up a little picnic for us. Her laptop screen has a movie on pause.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : are you okay?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She asked after dropping my bags on the bed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : he called me a lose woman.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I whispered, tears forming on my eyes. She pulled me in for a hug.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : I love him but that hurts. I’ve never been touched by a man before. Not even once. For him to call me that while I’ve never slept with anyone is just painful. It hurts. But I’m done with him, I really am. From now on, I’m going to keep my distance.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : he thinks you’re desperate for love, for a relationship. Ukujwayela kabi.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : do I look desperate?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : no you don’t. You’ve caught feelings for real. There’s no desperation here. You’re in love. It doesn’t matter though because the man you’re in love with doesn’t give a sh\u00a1to about your feelings. Let go of him.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

My phone rings. Unknown number? What if it’s him, again?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I answered though.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : Naomi speaking hello?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Caller : it’s me,Qhawe. I’ve been trying to call you, are you okay? Did you get home safe?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I’ve blocked you. Leave me alone. Stop acting like you care.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I dropped the call and threw my phone on the bed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : that was him?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : yeah.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : he has a nice voice. It’s sad that he uses it to blurt out sh\u00a1t. Come to momma.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She said opening her arms for a hug.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : I have prepared a movie night for us. We deserve a little break, just this once.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : What movie are we going to watch?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : I don’t know, choose one while I go dish up for us. I’ll be back in a minute okay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : okay<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She leaves me in there. My phone rings once again. Still the same number. I dropped the call and blocked them. I have exams to focus on, I can’t let this distract me. I should’ve have let this distract me. Not even once. So I’m done, I’m really done with Mr Q.<\/div>\n
