It’s a new week, Wednesday. I’m attending physical sciences exactly at 7 o’clock today and I have a tennis practice at 3pm. I have already packed my bag, ready to go. I decided to catch a taxi because my subconscious mind tells me that the driver will be here at 7 and I don’t want to be late. I locked up the house and walked a bit waiting for a taxi to appear,it did.. finally!!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I opened the door only to he met by Mr Q’s face, he is even smiling. I just got in and greeted and sat next to him.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q: Ms Sebothoma<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : Mr Q<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Mr Q : so vele you’re going to call me that until when?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : until we’re done with grade 12,I think.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Mr Q : you are so early Naomi.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : I just thought I should head out,my school is kinda far from this side.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : okay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He took out money and paid for the both of us,I looked at him.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : here’s your money, thank you though.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He just nodded and looked away from me avoiding the money on my hands. I slid it to his shirt pocket and got busy with my phone. We got to school around 6:45. We went to the school hall since it will be both my class and the A class. I wiped the desk I’m going to sit on and placed my bag on top. I took out a tissue from my bag as he was cleaning out the board.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : can I head out to the loo before the lessons start ?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : it’s still early Naomi we haven’t started yet. Yes you can go…Yima.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I turned to look at him as he made his way to me,he pulled my hand from the door handle and closed the door behind me. My heart started racing. What’s happening? He pinned me against the wall and held my hands above my head and the other hand found it’s way to my waist under my school blazer. He looked into my eyes,like he’s searching for something. He leaned in closer and pecked my lips. I can feel and electric-like shock taking over my body making me weak a bit.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : Mr Q…<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Mr Q : shhh…<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
He tips my head back as his lips find mine, and there\u2019s a desperate, passionate quality to his kiss that mirrors mine.We\u2019re all tongues and breathing,his hand on my hands above my head and his other hand leaving trails down my spine… giving me a sweet sensation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u2018he’s your teacher!!!\u2019 My mind says to me and I pull out and looked down<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : this wasn’t supposed to happen,set me free.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He lets me go and I ran out going to the toilets. I sighed softly Letting my breath out. My mind goes back to that kiss,the feeling I got from it…from him. Am I falling for him? Why did I feel like this? I did my business and washed my hands, removing the chalk from my hands. I checked my blazer on the inside and I can see the chalk. I walked out heading back to class. I got in and sat down at front. there are already Students in class so he only steals glances at me,WHY DID YOU DO THAT MR Q?<\/div>\n

The rest of the day went well. With Ncumisa,Mbali and Ntando checking out their boyfriends during break time leaving me alone,argh so boring. I had to get myself busy with my phone. It’s after school anyway. I went to the toilets and wore my white tennis skirt and my sneakers and a white vest. I went to the tennis court…What is he doing here? I placed my bag down and played,not giving these gents a chance to talk to me…well, they’re watching me or us play some keep calling me with how I’m wearing… ‘Ms all white’. I didn’t shift my focus on the game though. Before i could even get done I felt someone pulling me. It’s him,what is it now? He takes my bag and leaves the tennis court heading to the toilets. He gives me my bag.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : Do you have a pad on you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : I always carry one<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Mr Q : good, you’re on your periods and the guys next to me showed it to me,please change up so that we can leave.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We?? I didn’t ask him that though,I went to changed back to my school pants and put on the pad then went back outside. Why is he still here?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : asambe<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : transport is at the gate.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : even so,asambe.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : sir please I’m fine. I took my bag and left him there.He follows me and literally grabs my hand.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : a little thank you wouldn’t hurt, you know?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I sighed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : thank you sir,can I go now?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Q : sure,bye.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He lets my hand go and I walk away from him heading straight to my school transport. I’m so glad it’s here.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : Baby!!!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She says happily and frowns as she notices that I’m not screaming at her back as usual. She got of the taxi and came to me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : are you okay?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She asks taking my bag from me and we enter the car.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I’m okay it’s just that I’m on my periods and they started this afternoon while I was practicing tennis. My physical sciences teacher saw me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : and she told you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : it’s a he,he told me yeah. Nothando : oh,I didn’t know it’s a male now. So you’re embarrassed?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : yes,by the fact that they started after school and my male teacher saw me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : where were your friends kanti?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
When was the last time I spent time with Ncumisa and the girls? I doubt we’re still even friends at this point. I’ve been all alone chatting with Nothando over a phone each and every time at break and on free periods I study.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : we’re not close as we were.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Nothando : okay. Oh that was a short drive.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I’m actually glad,i need a bath.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : I love spending time with you though<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : we can visit each other you know,that way we’ll get to know each other more.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : I don’t know if my Mom will agree to that but I’ll try.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I can come over then. As soon as I’m over my periods though.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nothando : okay,but I’ll still talk to my mom about this.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : I’ll appreciate that sweetheart. Oh we’re here.We climbed of the car and she went to her house,I went to mine heading straight to my room,all I need is a bath.<\/div>\n

I sighed placing my bag on my bed. As soon as I get my first salary,I’m fixing this house. Where’s my mom? I need a favor from her. I called her out and I found her in the kitchen, sitting on a chair with her face on the table, sleeping.<\/div>\n
That looks a little uncomfortable. I shook her and she slowly raised her head to look at me.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : mama are you okay?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Khethiwe : I’m okay my boy thanks.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
She smiles and rubs her eyes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Khethiwe : how was work today?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She asks yawning.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : work was just fine ma. Please borrow me your phone. I need to call someone.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Khethiwe : where is your phone?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Qhawe : it’s flat,I have to charge it but this is kind of an emergency. Why did I lie about my phone being flat though?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Khethiwe : yibheke ekameren lam on top of my bed<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : thank you<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I ran to my Mom’s room for her cellphone and i dialed Naomi’s tens and called her.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : Naomi hello?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe: hey,it’s Mr Q… Are you still there?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : yes sir,can I help you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Qhawe : I wanted to check on you after what happened at school,are you okay?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : it’s just my periods, nothing major. I’m fine.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : and don’t you have period pains?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Naomi : no,I don’t have them yet.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : okay then. I just wanted to make sure you are okay and don’t feel embarrassed that I saw you.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : (clears throat)why can’t you just leave me alone and treat me like other Learners? You don’t kiss other Learners,do you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : I don’t because I don’t feel attracted to them<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : attracted?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Qhawe : there’s just something about you Warona and it makes me feel…good. can’t we talk about this in person?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : we can’t. You’re my teacher and I’m just a student to you. We can’t have a relationship of any sort unless it’s a teacher-student type of relationship. Please leave me alone.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : Naomi…<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : no sir,I respect you and your job. I respect myself and my studies. I can’t get expelled because of… whatever this is. This is probably the best school I have ever been in,don’t ruin this chance for me please.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Qhawe : can I come see you?<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Naomi : no<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She ended the call and I sighed,deleting her tens from my mother’s call logs. I went outside to my room and decided to share a homework on a physical sciences group and also informed them that we’re attending tomorrow morning.
