I chickened out. I don\u2019t know what happened, but one moment I was ready to be closer with Dante, the next I told him I just wanted us to shower. To be honest, I don\u2019t know how I am going to feel about intimacy after abstaining for so long. A part of me is scared that I might not enjoy it the way I used to before. It\u2019s like I am now nervous about closeness, which is weird because I\u2019m not a virgin.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Luckily, Dante didn\u2019t ask anything or try to push; we just showered, and now we are applying lotion to our skin. Things feel awkward, we bathed in silence, and now we\u2019re quiet. I think he picked up on what I wanted to do and noticed that I chickened out.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHere you go,\u201d Dante hands me a pajama shirt. I find it funny how comfortable we are being bare around each other, but then, we are not children. These things happen between adults.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThanks,\u201d I take the top and put it on. My dress, bra, and panties are still on the floor. I don\u2019t know how I feel about picking them up, but I am not comfortable wearing them. Dante is wearing shorts only. I keep stealing glances at him. I clear my throat and say, \u201cYou don\u2019t look like the type that wears pajamas.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t, why am I wearing your pajama top?\u201d I say to him. \u201cWhy didn\u2019t you give me the bottoms too?\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOwning something and wearing something are two different things. And you look good with just the top.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI should go to my room,\u201d I say, picking up my clothes on the floor. \u201cI just wanted to shower, let me go to bed.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt felt like you wanted more.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Holding on to my clothes, I say, \u201cI changed my mind, goodnight.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cLet’s go look for something to eat in the kitchen.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am still full of what we had, and all this is making me uneasy,\u201d I admit.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dante takes the clothes from my hands and tosses them on the floor. He moves closer and says, \u201cYou shouldn\u2019t be shy to ask for what you want.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am not shy.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
He lifts my chin, making me face him. \u201cWhen you walked into the shower, you wanted something.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhat do you think I wanted?\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u201cI don\u2019t read minds, Jade Marshal. You will need to use your words with me,\u201d he says calmly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am sleepy. Do you want to join me in my room?\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
He answers, \u201cI can join you if you want me to.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t get it, Dante.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThen make me get it,\u201d he says.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u201cI want you to take the lead without me saying it out loud. Am I making sense?\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA little,\u201d he answers. He is too serious for me. For a gorgeous man like him, I expected someone cute and fluffy behind closed doors and only serious in front of people.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI think I need more alcohol.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He pulls me back slightly. \u201cYou don\u2019t need alcohol, you need to use your words.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI want you to be close to me, but I am nervous about how I will feel.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cVery happy to hear that,\u201d he says. \u201cI need you to verbally tell me things, not to make me guess. Okay?\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He places his hand on my waist and pulls me closer. \u201cAre you sure you\u2019re ready for this?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cVery sure.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He leans and kisses me. We brushed our teeth after showering, now we both taste like toothpaste. I realize how short I am compared to him. While kissing, he slowly unbuttons the pajama top and helps me settle into it more comfortably.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He stops kissing me and steps back. He bites his lower lip and says, \u201cYou are gorgeous.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am admiring how beautiful you are,\u201d I reply.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u201cYou are making me uncomfortable. I am not used to this,\u201d I tell him.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dante walks to me and says, \u201cDon\u2019t feel uncomfortable. You are gorgeous and shouldn\u2019t be ashamed of it.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAre we going to be intimate already?\u201d I ask.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Later, Dante comes back with towels. We clean up, then head to the bedroom.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cCan you get my phone in the other room?\u201d I ask. It seems we are sharing a bed tonight. I can\u2019t believe I spent the night with a man I met two days ago. My mother would be disappointed. I don\u2019t care, though.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dante comes back with my phone, puts it on the charger, and gets into bed beside me.<\/div>\n
\u201cYou were amazing,\u201d he says softly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cGoodnight, Dante Lyon,\u201d I say, yawning. \u201cI hope I don\u2019t regret accepting your proposal.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
