Juliet chuckled. \u201cLet\u2019s meet up. I was just thinking about taking a stroll and having a change of scenery.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet and Ariana agreed to meet one another in a restaurant in a nearby mall.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet washed up and put on some makeup, as if she were still the beautiful and elegant Mrs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The man wore a heavy coat with a large designer brand logo stamped on the front. He had a thick gold chain on his neck and a gold watch on his wrist. He was quite noticeable here amidst the public crowd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was Juliet\u2019s friend from high school, Caleb Sander.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When Caleb saw that it was Juliet, a teasing expression appeared on his face. \u201cOh? Isn\u2019t this Mrs. Greene?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
His eyes roamed along her body, gaze filled with disdain. \u201cAre you out shopping alone? Mr. Greene\u2019s not joining you?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were so good at pretending back in school. You always acted so high and mighty, ignoring anyone who might want to talk to you. I heard that Asher is spending all his time with the daughter of his precious mentor nowadays.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a private matter between Asher and me, Caleb. It\u2019s none of your business,\u201d Juliet\u00a0<\/p>\n
retorted.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAw, but I\u2019m just concerned about you, old friend.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Caleb reached out to pat Juliet on the shoulder, but she swiftly swatted his hand away.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Instead of getting upset, Caleb chuckled loudly in response.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cYour dream of living a life of luxury must be ruined now, huh? I knew the two of you wouldn\u2019t last long! A housekeeper\u2019s daughter who managed to climb to the top, only to\u00a0<\/p>\n

Juliet\u2019s fingers curled slightly. \u201cI\u2019m busy, so I need to go\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Caleb snorted. \u201cHmph! You\u2019re still playing pretend? Do you really think you\u2019re still that h and mighty Mrs. Greene you wanted to be? Asher Greene is fed up with you now, so why a you still keeping up that proud act? What\u2019s a golddigger like you acting all virtuous for?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Caleb then took out his namecard and handed it to Juliet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cName your price to stay by my side. I can\u2019t promise much, but I can definitely buy you all the luxury handbags you want,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He then reached out to try to lift Juliet\u2019s face by the chin.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet smacked his hand away and took a step back, her eyes cold as ice. \u201cDon\u2019t touch me!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat a wildcat you are.\u201d Caleb retracted his hand and sniffed it. \u201cYou smell delectable. No wonder Asher married you in the first place. You were in it for the money, weren\u2019t you? Does it matter who\u2019s giving you that money?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet\u2019s expression immediately turned ugly. A bitter taste welled up in her throat.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Caleb had stopped her in the hallway in school back in sophomore year, just like he did now. He\u2019d said some lecherous things and even tried to put his hands on her.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet had warned him to back off, but Caleb only got even bolder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
