Juliet\u2019s relatives, who used to greet her so warmly and address her endearingly, seemed to have all changed into entirely different people. They blamed Juliet for being inconsiderate and upsetting the Greene family, thereby dragging all of the Stone family down with her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Juliet looked at Jesse, who had an expression of shock on his face.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cDo you see now? This is what Asher-the man I\u2019ve loved for 15 years-did to me,\u201d Juliet said calmly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This was what Asher-the man who\u2019d lovingly told Juliet that she was the most important thing to him in his entire life, and that he was all she would ever need\u2013had done to her.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the end, it was nothing but a grandiose illusion.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cGo back and tell Asher I\u2019m set on the divorce,\u201d Juliet said. Her expression softened slightly as she added, \u201cEven if I walk away from this marriage with nothing to my name, even if the whole world berates me for my decision-I\u2019m still never returning to that cage of a home.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet then pointed at the door. \u201cYou can go now.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMrs. Greene\u2026\u201d Jesse\u2019s throat felt incredibly dry. \u201cMr. Greene\u2026 Mr. Greene didn\u2019t mean it. He\u2019s just trying to get you to come back\u2014\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

There was nothing but frost in Juliet\u2019s once tender gaze. She was starting to resemble Asher whenever the latter was enraged.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was no surprise that Juliet and Asher married one another they sure looked the part!\u00a0<\/p>\n
Jesse fled the apartment with his tail tucked between his legs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He sped out of the building and went straight into his car, heart pounding in his chest.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He immediately gave Asher a phone call.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cSomething\u2019s gone wrong, Mr. Greene! Something\u2019s gone horribly wrong!\u201d Jesse cried.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Juliet was sitting alone in her quiet living room. She gently caressed her flat belly, where a baby was slowly growing inside.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Juliet had hoped to share this wonderful news with Asher on their wedding anniversary. But the thought of it seemed ridiculous to her now.\u00a0<\/p>\n
How could she let her own child grow up in a family that prioritized personal gain? To be surrounded by those bloodsucking leeches that Asher called family?\u00a0<\/p>\n
