What else did she have in store?

Honora, in particular, felt a knot of dread tighten in her stomach. She was sure Larissa would use this opportunity to make her life miserable.

As if on cue, Larissa’s gaze fell upon her. But what Larissa said next was completely unexpected.

“Honora, I’m going to cure you of the poison completely.”

Honora froze. She couldn’t believe Larissa would still be willing to help her after everything that had happened. What was this little witch plotting now?

As Honora hesitated, Finley spoke up. “Honora, I don’t know what her reasons are, but if she’s willing to cure you, just let her. Don’t worry about us.”

“… Alright.” Honora let out a quiet sigh of relief. She sat down on the sofa and lifted the hem of her dress. “Cure me.”

Larissa approached, taking out a needle case from her pocket. After performing a quick acupuncture treatment, she produced a small ceramic jar. She placed a leech from the jar onto the bite on Honora’s ankle to draw out the poisoned blood.

Within moments, the burning, swollen sensation in Honora’s face began to subside. She touched her cheek; though it was still puffy, the discomfort was gone. She knew her face would soon return to normal.

Honora was in disbelief. Larissa hadn’t tricked her. What on earth was she up to?

After removing the leech, Larissa announced, “There. The poison is completely gone.”

Avril was just as confused. “Larissa, why did you help her?”

Larissa looked pointedly at Finley. “Because I want Finley to live with regret.”

Finley met Larissa’s mocking gaze and flinched. He understood immediately. She had said that once Leopold woke up, he would regret giving the cure to Honora. By curing Honora now, was she about to wake Leopold?

He decided to test the waters. “Larissa, are you… are you going to wake Leopold?”

Larissa nodded. “Of course. He’s my key witness.”

With that, she walked over to the sofa where Leopold lay unconscious.

Paxton, Vivica, and Finley stared intently at Larissa, none of them noticing the flicker of panic in Honora’s eyes.

“Don’t be afraid,” Honora told herself. “He can’t wake up. I’ve given him so many doses of the drug to keep him in a coma. It’s from the black market; there’s no way it could fail!”

Larissa glanced at the nervous Honora, a faint smirk playing on her lips. She reached down and, with a swift movement, pulled a long, thin silver needle from Leopold’s head.

09:46

Chapter 366

Vivica rushed over and knelt by the sofa, her eyes fixed on her son, her expression a mixture of intense anxiety and desperate hope. Paxton clutched his side, his gaze locked on Leopold.

An unprecedented silence fell over the room as everyone held their breath, waiting for a miracle.

Ten seconds passed. Twenty. Half a minute…

A full minute went by, and Leopold remained still.

Vivica’s jaw tightened. “He’s not waking up! Why did we ever believe you could help him? You venomous viper, you probably want him to stay like this forever!”

Honora secretly let out a sigh of relief. But before she could fully exhale, a cough echoed from the sofa.

“Cough, cough…”

Chapter 367

Sara Lili is a daring romance writer who turns icy landscapes into scenes of fiery passion.
