Avril puffed out her chest. \u201cOf course not. Larissa told me there would be a good show today, and she never disappoints!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Helena stepped out of the car, leaning on Lucius\u2019s arm. Her gaze immediately found Larissa, the memory of Larissa\u2019s visit to the Lincoln family estate still fresh and infuriating.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLarissa, did you have a run\u2013in with Lucius?\u201d Haskell asked quietly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Larissa shrugged. \u201cNot Lucius, but I did offend Helena. I slapped her son Jagger a few times in front of her. Same difference, they\u2019re all one family.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Even so, Lucius wouldn\u2019t have come to the Judson estate just because Jagger was slapped. He had to be interested in Larissa herself.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Vivica, expecting Josette and Jagger, hurried out to greet them, only to stop in her tracks when she saw Helena and Lucius. They were the true power brokers of the Lincoln family. In all the years Josette and Jagger had been married, Helena and Lucius had never once set foot on Judson property. Their presence today could only mean one thing: they were here for Larissa.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Vivica quickly composed herself and rushed forward. \u201cJosette! You should have told me Helena and Lucius were coming.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a last\u2013minute decision,\u201d Helena said before Josette could reply. \u201cI heard you were making Larissa apologize to my Jagger today, so I decided to come and see it for myself.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
