Maya was about to respond when a handsome and good\u2013looking man entered the tent, wearing\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fay left the tent a bit annoyed and said,\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maya wished she could lie, but she couldn\u2019t anymore. The words came out of her mouth without being able to stop them.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s Faylion, one of the fairy princes. He\u2019s my fiance.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cassian was left speechless. What had been a dream just moments ago had become a terrible nightmare. He could finally reunite with the woman he loved, but she hadn\u2019t returned alone from the land of the fairies; she had returned with a fianc\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cTell me you\u2019re joking. That man can\u2019t be your fiance, that can\u2019t be, it must be a lie, right?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Maya clenched her hands into fists, feeling powerless for not being able to deny it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t lie, Cassian. I\u2019m obliged to always tell the truth. Even if I wanted to tell you that it\u2019s not true, that Fay is just a friend, it would be a lie, and I can\u2019t tell lies anymore.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
