She launched herself at me then, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me hard, I caught her and held her close, kissing her\u00a0<\/p>\n

When she finally pulled back we were both breathing hard and she was smiling so wide it looked like it hurt.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We\u2019d have it at night obviously under the full moon because that\u2019s traditional, and there would be torches lighting the path and maybe some flowers but nothing too elaborate because it should feel natural and connected to the earth.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was nodding along, already able to picture it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThe pack would form a circle around us,\u201d she continued, her hands moving as she described it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we\u2019d do the traditional vows and the blood binding and the moon blessing, I want it to be meaningful and spiritual and connect us to our heritage and our wolves.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThat sounds beautiful,\u201d I said honestly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then the next day,\u201d she said, her excitement building again.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019d do a completely different kind of wedding, something bright and celebratory with lots of flowers and music and dancing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Maybe in a garden or a beautiful estate somewhere, with a big reception and dinner and cake and all the traditional human wedding\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Two completely different experiences,\u201d I said, understanding now why she wanted both. \u201cOne for our wolves and one for our human\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the actual running around and coordinating and stressing, that\u2019s what we have Sarah and Leah for, they\u2019ll love helping and they\u2019re\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut,\u201d she started.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAthena, you\u2019re pregnant with twins,\u201d I said, taking both her hands in mine.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She bit her lip, clearly torn between wanting to be involved and knowing I had a point about the stress.\u00a0<\/p>\n
