Baby steps,\u201d I agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tristan came into the kitchen then looking pleased about something, there was an excitement in\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>his eyes that I hadn\u2019t seen before.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood dinner,\u201d he said to Sarah. \u201cThank you for organizing it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was Athena\u2019s idea too,\u201d Sarah said generously\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell thank you both,\u201d he said then turned to me. \u201cCan I talk to you for a minute?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>=\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>1\/3\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>20:00 Tue, Jan 20 GG.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chapter 291\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSure,\u201d I said, following him out to the back porch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The night air was cool and I wrapped my arms around myself, Tristan immediately pulled me\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>close to keep me warm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>14%2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to take you somewhere tomorrow,\u201d he said. \u201cAll of us actually, you, me, Orion and Sarah.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere?\u201d I asked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a surprise,\u201d he said and I could hear the excitement in his voice, feel it in the way his heart\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>was beating faster than normal under my ear.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat kind of surprise?\u201d I pressed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kind you have to wait for,\u201d he said kissing my forehead. \u201cJust trust me.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do trust you,\u201d I said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t like surprises.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ll like this one,\u201d he promised. \u201cI hope.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The next morning after breakfast Tristan and Orion loaded everyone into Orion\u2019s truck since it\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>was bigger, Sarah and I exchanged confused glances as we buckled in while Lily and Liam chattered\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>excitedly in the back about going on an adventure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre you two going to tell us where we\u2019re going? Sarah asked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoon,\u201d Orion said, exchanging a grin with Tristan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They drove for about thirty minutes heading away from town into more rural areas where\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>houses were spread far apart with lots of land between them, eventually Orion turned down a long\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>private road that wound through trees and open fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is beautiful out here,\u201d I said, looking at the scenery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is,\u201d Tristan agreed, his hand finding mine and squeezing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The road opened up into a massive clearing and my breath caught at what I saw, there in the\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>center was a stunning two story house being built, the frame was up and from what I could see it dotting the landscape, a small stream running through one section,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>rolling hills in the distance, it was breathtaking.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhose property is this?\u201d I asked as Orion parked near the construction site.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCome see,\u201d Tristan said, getting out and coming around to help me out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We all walked toward the house and I could see the construction was further along than it had\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>looked from a distance, the exterior walls were up and the roof was on, windows were installed and I\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>could see workers
