Kingston remained seated, utensils still in hand. Hearing Logan\u2019s words, he didn\u2019t set them down. Instead, he calmly took another bite of food, not sparing Logan a glance. \u201cMr. Whitfield, you must have countless affairs keeping you busy. It\u2019s understandable if you can\u2019t make it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Logan caught the faint mockery in Kingston\u2019s tone and instinctively glanced at Vivian, puzzled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then, he thought of their unpleasant encounter at the auction last time and understood. Those friends of his were unreliable, uncouth hangers\u2013on. Kingston had probably formed a poor impression of him because of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Logan adopted an apologetic stance. \u201cThat\u2019s on me. I\u2019ll punish myself with three drinks in front of everyone.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
He reached out to take the wine glass Vivian had used.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kingston\u2019s gaze darkened slightly. He turned to the waiter standing by and said, \u201cBring another set of cutlery.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The waiter hurriedly placed a temporary set in front of Logan and pulled over a chair for him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Logan smiled. \u201cGiven my relationship with Vivi, even sharing the same cutlery wouldn\u2019t be a problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kingston didn\u2019t pour the liquor into a small shot glass. Instead, he filled a large cup right up to the brim, with the alcohol nearly spilling over.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cMr. Whitfield, you seem incredibly sincere. Once these three cups are down, any lingering resentment in everyone\u2019s hearts should be settled,\u201d Kingston said, and the other executives echoed their agreement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Logan was trapped by his own words. He could only steel himself and drink.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kingston personally poured every round, stopping only when each cup was nearly overflowing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After three cups, Logan felt as though his stomach was on fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He still hadn\u2019t fully recovered from his cold, and he\u2019d spent the entire afternoon working on the underground garage project without eating a thing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
