My first thought was to slam my fist into their faces. It was to send them straight to purgatory by going all crazy on them; But I couldn\u2019t because even until now, I still haven\u2019t been able to catch my breath.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was still panting from going a mile a second with Jay, and I frowned when I took in the expressions on their faces, not missing the way their darkened eyes roved my body slowly before stopping to meet my eyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And do you know what was even more infuriating than having them over like this? It was the fact that they brushed past me into the house like they owned the place, not even stopping when I nearly stumbled and fell!\u00a0<\/p>\n
At that, my anger soared. It reached heights I never knew was possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Breathe in\u2026 Breathe out.\u00a0<\/p>\n
My hands balled into tight fists as I stormed into the house, going to stand between them and Jay who looked like he was about to murder anyone and everyone in his path.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From the look on his face, he was beyond pissed, but something about his eyes\u2026 and the way it seemed to glow with maniacal intensity made me realize that his wolf was close to the surface, tethering close to shifting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
-And mind you, it was feral.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Deciding to play the peacemaker even though I was beyond pissed, I took his hand in mine and whispered in a small voice, my tone pleading as I said; \u201cGo.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHuh?\u201d He hissed, turning to look at me incredulously. 1\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cGo. I can take care of myself and them.\u201d I continued, not missing the slight suspicion that graced his features before he shook his head.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cNo.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cJay\u2026\u201d my voice trailed off as I turned to glare at the intruders and then I hissed; \u201c\u2026you don\u2019t have to stay if you cannot\u2026\u201d again, my voice trailed off, but this time, I didn\u2019t bother to finish my statement because I didn\u2019t want these stupid egotistical Alphas to know about his secret and how feral his wolf was becoming.\u00a0<\/p>\n
His eyes met mine briefly then he raised his head to meet those of my mates. He\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think you should.\u201d I answered coldly, hating myself for how domineering I sounded. But it was necessary. When he wouldn\u2019t leave, I added; \u201c\u2026trust me, they\u2019re nothing. Moreover, I don\u2019t want you to be stressing over things that aren\u2019t worth it. So go, I\u2019ll take care of this.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
I do not know why I felt the urge to reassure him this way, but judging by the way his tense shoulders immediately loosened, I guess it worked its charm. He sighed, turned away from me to glare at Kael and Zevran; But before he walked away up the stairs, he leaned over to kiss me soundly on the lips, blissfully ignoring the way both men behind him growled low in their throats whilst their eyes blazed with annoyance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I waited until Jarek was gone and probably out of earshot before I turned to glare at the two men, placed both of my hands on my hips and seethed; \u201cWhat do you want?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
They finally turned to me then and my breath hitched when I was met with the annoyance swirling in their deep dark eyes\u2026 the frustration\u2026 the anger.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And the jealousy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Goddess, is that jealousy?\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2013\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWere you about to sleep with him?\u201d It was Kael who asked me that nonsense question, and Jesus, it took everything in me not to smack him to the heavens and back.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When I wouldn\u2019t respond, he pushed forward until his chest was almost rubbing against mine, and maybe it was due to the unchecked sensations still coursing through my spine or the unfinished mess that I was at the moment, that singular action sent jolts of electricity running down my spine.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It made my body tingle with pleasure; But pushing against it, I took a step back and growled at him; \u201cThat is none of your business!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, but it is!\u201d He cried out, his voice quaking at the end of his statement. \u201cIt is because we are still mates. Fine, we may still be married to your sister but you\u2019re our one true\u00a0<\/p>\n
mate.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAlso, we felt it. And it hurt so badly!\u201d Zevran added, and the hypocrisy in their words made me laugh out loud. I laughed until my chest hurt and until they both tilted their heads to the side, watching me like I was an alien. 2\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was beyond mad but I couldn\u2019t stop laughing, and when I finally did, I jabbed at Kael\u2019s chest with my pointy finger and hissed; \u201cIt hurt?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cLike a goddamn bitch!\u201d Zevran exclaimed from behind me but I didn\u2019t even bother to\u00a0<\/p>\n
turn to him- I couldn\u2019t even care less about him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I spat; \u201cYou see what you both felt\u2026 it was nothing compared to what you\u2019ve put me through. So deal with it!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLeilani please-\u201d Kael began to speak but I hushed him by planting my finger over his lips. That sent another wild rush of sensations running down my spine but I shut it down and snarled;\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd if you cannot deal with it, you can simply open your goddamn mouths and say the words: \u2018I reject you!\u201d\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
At my words, their eyes darkened but they made no move to touch me. If it was the Kael and Zevran I knew a few years ago, then they would have been quick to hit me, to insult me\u2026 to put me in my place.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But they did none of those.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Instead, they simply looked\u2026 frustrated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zevran even looked like he was about to cry, but instead of feeling pity, I was simply thrilled. I was happy that finally they would get to have a taste of their own medicine\u2026 that now, they would get to feel the way I used to feel when I was the one groveling at their feet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And mind you, it was exhilarating.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot reject you, Leilani\u2026\u201d Zevran began to say, but just as he did, Kael\u2019s hand shot out to grab my arm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And maybe it was my rage finally getting the best of me. Maybe it was the fact that they had intruded at the worst possible time causing both Jay and I to have blue balls, even though I do not possess any balls and I was still so mad about it; But I found myself taking a step back.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He tried again after failing to touch me the first time, and this time, that riled me up immensely. I subconsciously grabbed his arm twisted it behind his back and pushed him off of me, my eyes widening when he groaned painfully as he stumbled forward until he crashed into my table and fell face first into the floor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A few minutes passed but only silence reigned; and I could only pant wordlessly as both brothers turned to stare at me like they couldn\u2019t quite believe their eyes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Even I, too, couldn\u2019t.\u00a0<\/p>\n
