\u201cI don\u2019t know, but I feel strange.\u201d he says.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cOkay, then lets just stay vigilant and keep an eye out for any dangers.\u201d I say to him.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He nods in my mind and goes silent though I know he is on alert just as I am.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTalon, stay vigilant. Black is uneasy for some reason and says he doesn\u2019t know why. I don\u2019t think anyone here would be stupid enough to try to attack us but lets not underestimate them. There are other Alphas here and many of them hate us so I wouldn\u2019t put anything past them.\u201d He simply nods at me and I see his eyes glaze over which tells me that he is mind-linking our warriors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The cars stop in front of the packhouse which is a nice size three story mansion. There are a few lights on but not many and for that I am glad. All I want to do is go to my room and not be bothered. We get out of the vehicles and immediately begin to search the area for any dangers with our senses before the door swings open and out comes a man in his late forties or early fifties with salt and pepper hair. He still seems to be in shape and I can tell that he is the Alpha and the woman next to him with her blonde hair in a tight bun, a dress that is way too short for a woman of her years, and blue eyes who I know is his mate. There\u2019s also a girl on his other side peeking to look at us with the same blue eyes and blonde hair as the older woman. Actually, the girl is a younger version of the older woman.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Taking them all in, I try to keep my face neutral as my nose takes in their scents. They smell of lies and deceit among other things. \u201cHmm\u2026 I wonder what they are hiding. I may have some fun here after all.\u201d I say to myself. There\u2019s nothing I love more than a mystery. Normally I don\u2019t get involved in the business of other packs and I\u2019m still not going to unless it is something that could end up harming\u00a0<\/p>\n
me or my pack.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAlpha Cameron, what an honor to have you here. We didn\u2019t expect that you\u2019d come. It is known that you don\u2019t usually attend such celebrations.\u201d I sense a lie mixed in with truth, but I say nothing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cGreetings Alpha Conrad and Luna Stephanie. We are happy to attend your daughter\u2019s coming of age celebration. Please forgive our tardiness as the Alpha had some business to attend to before we were able to leave.\u201d says Talon. I\u2019m glad I brought him with me. He can do all of the talking and pleasantries as I am not one for all of that stuff.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI understand Beta Talon. As Alphas we can\u2019t just pick up and go whenever we please. Please come in and our housekeeper will show you to your rooms. You and the Alpha will be on the guest Alpha floor and your guards can take the guest floor below it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you for your hospitality, Alpha Conrad.\u201d says Talon as some omegas come out and take our luggage and we follow behind them.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Once we enter the packhouse, I smell something but it is very faint. \u201cI wonder what that smell is?\u201d I ask Black. \u201cI don\u2019t know, but it smells delicious.\u201d he says back to me. \u201cMaybe we\u2019re just hungry. Once we settle down, we\u2019ll send Talon to get us something to eat before\u00a0<\/p>\n

The next morning, I awoke to a loud commotion and was instantly on alert, Jumping up, I pulled on a pair of jeans and a black polo shirt and my shoes before leaving my room. I ran into Talon who also looked like the noise woke him and we just looked at each other before making our way downstairs. The scent that I smelled last night was stronger and I followed it along with the commotion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reaching the ground floor, we made our way to the sound of two women yelling and I stopped when I smelled another scent\u2026blood. My wolf perked up at the smell and began growling in my head. To say that he was furious was a understatement. \u201cBlack what is it?\u201d I asked him and he said the last word that I ever thought I\u2019d hear from him. \u201cMate!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tiyanna\u2019s POV\u00a0<\/p>\n
They didn\u2019t like me just walking off after talking to them like that, so they decided to throw me in the dungeon. I\u2019m used to it at this\u00a0<\/p>\n
point and spending one night in there wasn\u2019t going to hurt me. I wasn\u2019t wrong when I said they wouldn\u2019t touch me because there were\u00a0<\/p>\n
guests here, but that doesn\u2019t mean they couldn\u2019t punish me by putting me there. The next morning, they let me out at 4 so that I could\u00a0<\/p>\n
help clean and get things set up for tonight\u2019s festivities. I was allowed to go to my room to clean myself up and look presentable enough\u00a0<\/p>\n
in case any of the guests ran into me. They gave me some somewhat decent clothes to wear and sent me on my way.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Making my way to the kitchen, I smelled a faint scent coming from the foyer that smelled of fresh pine and peppermint. The scent was\u00a0<\/p>\n
delicious and I wondered if someone had a new cologne or maybe the cologne was from one of our guests. I just shrugged and kept\u00a0<\/p>\n
heading to the kitchen. I went to the supply closet and took out the cleaning supplies and got to work. There were other omegas cleaning\u00a0<\/p>\n
as well but that\u2019s only because we have guests, otherwise I would be doing this work alone. They have to make themselves look good in front of these packs if they want to gain allies. \u201cWhen do we get to leave this place?\u201d asks my wolf. \u201cSilver, we will make our escape tonight while they are all partying.\u201d I tell her. \u201cGood, though for some reason, I\u2019m getting the feeling we should wait.\u201d she says. Now I\u2019m confused because I know that she wants to leave as bad as I do from here. \u201cWhat do you mean stay here? I thought that you wanted to leave?\u201d I\u00a0<\/p>\n
asked her. \u201cI don\u2019t know. It is just a feeling and I can\u2019t explain it.\u201d she says.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Before I can answer her, Amelia comes into the kitchen screeching like a damn banshee. We all look towards her and while the others cower, I just roll my eyes. She is so dramatic and her voice is grating on my nerves. \u201cI really wish we could rip out her vocal cords and do everyone a favor.\u201d says my wolf and I can\u2019t help the giggle that comes out of me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
