\nHe opened the door for Emily and Tommy, saw them upstairs, then returned with a dark expression, opening the driver\u2019s door for me to switch.<\/p>\n
But I walked straight into the back seat.
\n\u201cWhy not sit up front? Angry?\u201d
\nI shook my head. \u201cJust tired.\u201d
\nWithout Emily and Tommy, the car fell into a stifling silence.<\/p>\n
