\u201cA pulled pork sandwich with extra pickles and fries with garlic butter and parmesan cheese and an alcoholic root beer float,\u201d my voice was rushed and soft as I averted my eyes from his. I didn\u2019t want to see his reaction.<\/p>\n
He put his menu down without saying a word, just as the waiter arrived.<\/p>\n
\u201cGood evening, Alpha Landry and his date,\u201d he began politely. \u201cI am Marcus, your waiter for the evening. It\u2019s an honor to be at your service and please, if you need anything at all, don\u2019t hesitate to tell me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cExcellent choice, Sir. That\u2019s a fan favorite for sure,\u201d Marcus hummed as he tapped away on the tablet.<\/p>\n
