Third Person POV<\/p>\n
Alpha Levi was sitting at his desk when his phone rang. He didn\u2019t need to look at the caller ID to see who it was that was calling. He grabbed the phone and pressed the \u201ctalk\u201d button, pressing it to his ear.<\/p>\n
\u201cI better have good news,\u201d he said, his tone harsher than intended.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t feel good about this\u2026\u201d the voice on the other end said. \u201cWhat if I screw up? What if I give myself away?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou won\u2019t,\u201d Levi said, his tone turning even more sour. \u201cBecause if you do, I\u2019ll send someone in to complete this job and you won\u2019t like your punishment if I have to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
There was silence on the other end for a long while.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll keep you updated on my progress. But it might take a while\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI expect a report by the end of the week. Don\u2019t disappoint me,\u201d Levi growled and without another word, he ended the call, slamming his phone on his desk, nearly breaking it. It wouldn\u2019t be the first time he broke a phone; his Beta Ron would have to get him a new one periodically.<\/p>\n
Levi stared at the information gathered about Gavin\u2019s company information; his company is the largest franchise in the world and something Levi had been wanting for a long time. Though the company is large, it has its weak points and his relationship with Judy seems to be one of them.<\/p>\n
He realized that she\u2019s a strong part of his life\u2026 crumbling their relationship, might crumble Gavin which will make it easier to get a hold of his company. His children are also a factor as well; so far, Levi discovered that Mathew Landry is not Gavin\u2019s biological son, but his nephew.<\/p>\n
He pressed the intercom on his desk.<\/p>\n
\u201cRon, have Ethan Cash come to my office immediately,\u201d he ordered his Beta.<\/p>\n
Within minutes, Ethan was walking into his office looking nervous. Levi fed off the nerves of others; it pleased him that he intimidated those around him. He leaned back in his seat, assessing Ethan as he closed the door behind him.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou wanted to see me, Alpha?\u201d Ethan asked, his eyes fixed on the ground, unable to look Levi in the eyes. It wasn\u2019t unusual; Lycans were often difficult to look at because of their powerful aura.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, I have a task for you,\u201d Levi told him, staring at him for a moment longer before leaning forward on his desk. \u201cI need you to return to the Silver Crescent pack.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ethan\u2019s eyes grew wide.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d He asked. \u201cGavin is looking for me right now; he\u2019ll kill me if he sees me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou will be protected by my spies,\u201d Levi assured him. \u201cI found out that Gavin\u2019s son isn\u2019t his actual son.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMatthew?\u201d<\/p>\n
Levi nodded.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s Gavin\u2019s nephew. Matthew\u2019s mother is Gavin\u2019s sister,\u201d Levi explained.<\/p>\n
Ethan looked dlost in thought about that realization; Irene had never mentioned that. She always referred to Matt as her little brother, never her cousin. Ethan wasn\u2019t entirely sure what to do with that information, but he knew it had to be important if Levi was bringing it up to him like this.<\/p>\n
\u201cI need you to find out what you can about her,\u201d he said firmly. \u201cHer name is Cassandra Landry, but that\u2019s all we were able to retrieve about her. Everything else had been hidden by the Landry Corporation.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHow am I supposed to find out information about this woman?\u201d Ethan asked. \u201cI don\u2019t have any connections with the Landry\u2019s anymore.<\/p>\n
\u201cFigure it out,\u201d Levi said without hesitation. \u201cThen report to me any findings. I\u2019ll give you two weeks but then you better have something.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ethan stood; his stomach knotted. He knew if he didn\u2019t do what Levi asked, then he could make his life a living hell. So, he nodded.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll get on that right away,\u201d Ethan said, bowing his head before retreating from the<\/p>\n
room.<\/p>\n

Judy\u2019s POV<\/p>\n
\u201cYou totally kicked ass in that competition,\u201d one of my classmates said as she walked by my table in the student lounge.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, we were rooting for you,\u201d her friend said in response. \u201cYou were totally awesome. I couldn\u2019t believe I actually knew you.\u201dnoveldrama<\/p>\n
I glanced at Nan, and she gave me an identical look, both of us knowing that these girls wouldn\u2019t be talking to me if I hadn\u2019t won the competition. They didn\u2019t like either of us in the 4 years we\u2019ve been at this school. Now that we are preparing to graduate in a few months, suddenly I\u2019m important to them.<\/p>\n
\u201cThanks,\u201d was all I managed to say.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been like this all day. Today was the first day back at school since the start of my last semester. This semester was crucial for my degree, and I was excited to finally finish up with school and get a start on my life. I know technically I don\u2019t have to finish school; winning the competition means I was part of the Elite Gamma Force, but I really wanted to prove myself in more ways than muscles and speed. I wanted to prove my brain too.<\/p>\n
If things didn\u2019t work out as a gamma, at least I still have my degree and a little bit<\/p>\n
of courage to move forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cGraduation cannot come soon enough,\u201d Nan murmured as she assessed the girls walking away.<\/p>\n
I chuckled at her statement, completely agreeing with her.<\/p>\n
