You\u2019ll kill her!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet her die,\u201d Kael growled, but his grip loosened.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot in my car,\u201d Theo snapped. \u201cI like this car.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kael threw Riley aside.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She collapsed in a heap, coughing violently, her ribs aching.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was your last warning,\u201d Kael hissed. \u201cNext time, Mia and Carmen suffer.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Riley didn\u2019t answer. She didn\u2019t even look at him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the drive passed in silence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When they returned to the Ebonclaw Pack estate, Luna Zara rushed to the car, face etched with maternal worry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She reached for Riley.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Riley flinched away.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Zara\u2019s hand hovered midair before she slowly withdrew it, forcing a soft smile. \u201cRiley, your father didn\u2019t sleep a wink. Ronan expects sincerity. Make sure he sees it.
